Don't know how WMU doesn't have more wins... The performance i watched last night was as impressive as I have seen any opponent this year and remember we played Duke and Iowa St.

I am not gonna get get too down on UB.. WMU is a tough place to play and this was the end of a six day road trip for the Bulls. UB is actually playing 6 of their first 9 games on the road so really as long as they stay around 5-4, they will have a chance with 6 of their last 9 at home.

Generally, WMU plays hard. That translates to rebounding, loose balls and defense. Unlike what Montgomery recently said, Defense is more than effort. It takes skill. WMU isn't particularly athletic. Too easily allows opponents to turn the corner forcing help from even slower bigs resulting in fouls. Being able to handle a pick n roll is an Achilles heel. WMU gets eaten up any way you want to execute that play. There doesn't seem to be a mindset on how to defend it. It's haphazard and often done back pedaling.

WMU shot very well, caught UB at the end of a long road trip and WMU just came off playing very flat in Athens. A game they could have won.

If WMU shoots it well and defends it will in most games. But nothing special.
