Cincinnati is 26-1 all-time against Houston
I don't even know how that's possible.

And I thought our 1-15 record against Memphis was bad.

Simple. One team has consistently been better than the other over a period of many decades.

whats the point of this thread.... 80% of your threads are downing houston in some way and then you call it impartiality
you could have just dropped this nugget in the "1/13 games" thread

They are good, simple as that.
Plus without digging into it I would assume they didn't play us much if at all in the 60's and 80's when our program was at its peak.
That game last night was winnable. Our inexperience just got exposed nothing more.
Give them time. We will be fine the final score is not indicative of the game that was played last night.
Edit: Actually looking this up it helps that they didn't play us from 1976-1996. They also missed our run from 1965-1972.
During those stretches we have 2 NCAA Runner Ups, 5 Final Fours, 5 Elite 8's, 8 Sweet 16's, and 16 Tournament appearances.
Missing that much of our success with skew the numbers a bit.....

Please, Cincinnati didn't play Houston much during the later Guy Lewis/Pat Foster era (1966-90). The series standings may be inverted if they played every year during that time. Cincinnati was terrible for the entire decade of the 80's and barely relevant between the Oscar Robertson era and then.
Most of the games UH and Cincy played were in or near the Robertson era and the Huggins/Martin/Logan era. UH meanwhile never has had a team that could beat Cincy while both shared a conference with very rare exception.

I was just posting because the game happened last night.
Almost all of my post are downing UH? You're on Coogfans, check out my thread where I cheerfully predicted a victory last night.

I don't even know why I'm explaining myself anymore, I shouldn't really. I follow sports as much as I'm a fan. You guys should be used it.
Heck, I went to school to study a discipline where the key was to remain impartial.

Wha?
UC won 2 national championships and 1 runner up immediately following Oscar's departure.
UC was also 282-125 from 1963-1978, which begins after that stretch and does not include any of their 5 straight final fours mentioned previously.
UC has been mediocre only from 1979-1989 in pretty much their entire history (and even then, it was only bad by UC standards as they were around .500 for much of it).
You are talking about one of the Top 15 basketball programs of all time. Houston has some history that is nothing to sneeze at, but to represent that UC dodged Houston at opportune times? Ludicrous. 27-1 is not a representation of the two programs but had they played consistently throughout history, UC would be far, far ahead most likely.

RE: Cincinnati is 26-1 all-time against Houston
I never said UC dodged UH, just that they didn't play each other much during Houston's apex and UC's unceremonious decline. And I said "near" the Robertson era, not necessarily in it.
And I agree that if UC played UH every season since 1946-47 (UH's first season), then they'd lead the all-time series. So let's call the whole thing off.
