It's sad but you're 100% right. The recruiting sites just can't let it show that the "inferior" schools can get top talent over the P5 schools. I just hope we can keep him locked up because he looks like a hell of a talent.

Should have a good season this year. That will help.

Tech's classes that were ranked in the 90-100 range in the national rankings gave us 3 teams ranked in the Top 40 in the past 4 years... with 2 different head coaches and a systems change. Either they were wrong, or we have coached them up magnificently. I don't think this recruiting business is an exact science.

UTSA gets Jarrod McLin, 6'4", 212lbs, WDE out of Carthage HS in Texas. 3 star according to 247sports.com. He was a 3 star on Rivals and suddenly he became a 2 star.

Tech has most likely lost Wudtee to Oklahoma State. But we have an interesting replacement.


3* Dual Threat QB Jon Randall Belton (6'3" 200) from West Monroe High School has committed to Tech. Belton was once expected to be the #1 QB in his class but he has had season ending injuries the past three years. He's rated as the #26 player in the state of Louisiana. I'm not sure how solid his other offers are with the injuries but his offer list includes Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, UCLA, TCU, ULL, and ULM. He's a big time pickup IF he can stay healthy.
