It's obvious that the Party is not 100% comfortable with piling on Trump. That says a lot.

CNN packed the audience with Bush supporters, sounds like there are NO Trump supporters. CNN is also lobbing softball questions to Bush, who sound just like Obama. I will never vote for Bush, I'll vote for Bill's wife first.

At least Trump doesn't come across as a bible-thumping, Reagan-fearing, blithering, anti-science bigot. At least, not as much as the others. Okay, maybe I'm wrong about the bigot part.

He's the strongest one on stage. This will be the last chance for some, and they still cower. Telling.

Too many candidates on the Stage Jeb 5%, Kaisch 3% Fiorina 4% and Christie 2% should not be on the stage.

Bush is the candidate of the dead branch of the conservative movement. That's the party his brother personified.
Those same folks want to cram him down the throat of the conservative movement as a whole.
The Bush Presidency was not conservative. It was a farce. Jeb is more of that. That offshoot of conservativism is an evolutionary dead-end and must be buried and pissed on.

41 was an average President at best 43 was below average, we don't need a ruling family we need NEW ideas, both 41 and 43 left the country in worse shape than when they took office, both were too quick to commit US forces to fight someone else's war, and both were weak leaders on many issues. Why should I think Jeb would be different?

Maybe Bush is on there strictly for TV ratings. Wouldn't surprise me.

Is CNN RACIST? Carson is #3 or #4 in the polls yet #8 Christie and #9 Fiorina have got more air time....

Expectations:
- Nobody proposes any meaningful cuts other than Christie wanting to reform entitlements. Christie will get tepid applause for that courage.
- Rand is largely ignored and when asked questions it will be over secondary issues of difference outside economics, government size, and government scope. Read: drug war, foreign policy.
- Trump and Carson continue to get a free pass on substantive policy.
- Slamming the moderators will be a very popular move.
- Cruz continues building momentum as "the new hip thing". He won't win the nomination though. Because somebody else will be that thing later.
- The Fiorina artificial hype train rolls onward defying gravity, physics, common sense, and all other seemingly immutable laws in the universe.
Winners: Establishment, status quo, anybody who depends on the welfare from the state
Losers: Liberty, intelligence, policy reform
Not that I'm much of a Cruz fan, but at least during the last GOP circus he proposed cutting four departments (Commerce, Energy, Ed, HUD) and the IRS. I wouldn't trust him to follow through on that if he were POTUS, but at least he talked about it when most of the others were just blabbering about their favorite brand of tampon. Outside of that you're dead-on.
Yes, we could cut back on the Department of Energy, one of the few Government agencies interested in science, you know, the thing that has advanced the US and kept it in front of its competitors, with its basic research. But I know Christians are anti-science so it shouldn't be surprising that Cruz wouldn't want anything to do with science, or logic, or common sense.
This is the kind of thing that assures that Republican candidates will NEVER get any Democrat or even Independent votes. Which is why they keep losing. How long will it take for them to figure it out?
That is blatant hyperbole and a gross generalization.
