True. But then Dedric's foul on their 3 point shooter 35 feet from the basketball didn't get called, so I guess it evened out.

I think that's the new rule interpretation at work, a shooter can't fake & then move into the foul which the Southern guard did.

What's the rule? The defender faked and Lawson jumped into him. Should have been a foul IMO. There is a rule against faking the foul but that wasn't the case here.

If that's the new rule, it came too late for Tarik black. Dude fouled 3 point shooters several times.

Nah Dedric was already back on the ground and dude jumped into him. Good rule to prevent what is essentially offensive flopping.

Have to agree. The shooter jumped into Lawson. Still, I never complained when Larry Finch jumped into people and got the call, but glad it didn't work last night.

And Keith Lee wouldn't have made the 2,000 point club if they hadn't given free throws for all his lean-in's.

Burrell got mad and throw his gum and it stuck in Josh's curly hair (he said jokingly)

Surprised Burrell got back in

I decided last night that Burrell may be the worst defensive player that we've ever had. He can jump and block a shot once in a while, but he is slow to defend against the three and it seems that everyone can beat him on the dribble. Very unfortunate because he is a decent offensive player.

Burrell is at least average on D. Blocks/alters a decent amount of shots with his length. Has to stay in front of his man. Better than Woodson on D because of athleticism.

Woodson has impressed me with his improvements on defense. He's not first team by any means, but he has obviously improved over last year when he was a huge liability. He's quicker and not the fouling machine that he was last year. Burrell can bother some people with his length, but he's still not quick enough to stay in front of quicker guards. He also gambles too much.

I agree except -I have also been impressed by Woodson's better D and better physical condition. But in crunch time, I would rather have TB in. Size matters and he is quick for 6-7 guy. Very good FT shooter also. He is also a very good rebounder.

Didn't Texas Southern beat Michigan State last December?

Yawn.
