Dear axeme,
After looking at the schedule for the entire MAC, leading up to conference play, ten of the MAC teams play three or more games against lower division teams. So, it is very true.

We are not talking about exhibitions. We are talking about the games that teams count as their regular schedule. EMU has four and that means they will only have 9 games against D1 OOC opponents. The teams with 1 will have 11 or 12 OOC games against D1 opponents.

Akron - 1
Buffalo - 1
Ohio - 1
Kent St - 1
Miami - 1
Bowling Green - 1
CMU - 3
EMU - 4
NIU - 4
WMU - 2
Ball St - 1
Toledo - 1

4 MAC teams with more than one is not most.

Apparently it's a Michigan thing and we wouldn't understand. Except NIU thought they've go full onboard.

Dear OUVan,
Well as an example, Ball State played Longwood on 11-21-15. and IU Kokomo 11-25-15. I doubt those are exhibition games that far into the schedule.

I think NIUs SOS is overrated. At 320.

Ha, you might be right about that.

Dear TC48,
I stand corrected. Had no idea Longwood was Division One.

RE: Basketball 12/13-12/19
Miami is our usual mediocre selves. Unless by some miracle we do well enough in conference play to get a bye to Cleveland or make a MAC tourney run, Coop is close to being shown the door. No reason we should be losing to IUPUI and Tennessee Tech in his fourth year with seven seniors on roster.

EMU's SOS is a little misleading. Yes they played Michigan St. and Louisville, but their non-DI games don't factor in.

NIU needs 2 OTs to beat FIU 78-75. Well, it's a win. We could put teams away if we could shoot free throws better than a junior high team.
