As many of you know it has been thrown out there that this weekend could be a big one in terms of landing some great recruits. Several visits set up but the only 2 I know of are Greg Bryant (who is already committed) and Montavious Smoke (has demonstrated a lot of interest in us via social media).

Coach Clark has been active on Twitter today. States we have already had 2 commitments as of noon. First one looks like Earl Chambers, a Safety from Merced Junior College in CA. No idea who the 2nd might be.

Fingers crossed that we have an historic weekend!

2nd commit appears to be Bobby Gentry. 6'4 230 JUCO LB. He has shown a lot of interest in UAB for quite some time on Twitter. Remember watching his highlight video a while back and was really impressed.

Chambers had previously committed I believe.

Chambers has been a known commit. Doubt it's him.

Could be true, but I just saw a few tweets from JUCO Twitter accounts saying he committed this morning, followed by Coach Clark's tweet.

White Guy. 6'2 listed as 240 to 250 runs a 4.5 (40) recruited as outside linebacker. plays running back. his runs of 47plus yards. Has the grades. Stanford type player going un recruited. Will end up at Colgate or Brown. Penn State if you guys dont jump.

presses 350. legs 500 and jumps 30 plus and can run.

What the hell guys. Mr. Joseph isn't saying anything hostile, just some recruiting banter. If your only response to an innocuous post is meanness or racism, don't say anything! It makes us look bad and recruits DO look here.

We don't recruit here the coaches do.

And what should he expect when he's telling a bunch of people who have nothing to do with recruiting who they need to recruit? Especially when he doesn't bother to give a name.

It was discriptive. The kid is white. Maybe the "we don't recruit white guys" remark was meant as harmless sarcasm, so state it.
But I didn't see anything racial in Joseph's post

You didn't see anything useful in his post.
I don't think anybody actually thought he was racist.
People thought he was pointless.

And yes, it was clearly sarcasm...it's typically not necessary to state "this is harmless sarcasm"

So, anyway, the white kid sounds like he's got some skills.

Sorry Guys, I'm From New York., and will and always will be a Blazer fan, no matter what you county boys seem to be. Like. From where I'm From its a compliment. to say he is a white boy who can run is a plus. but like I said I'm a Blazer from New York thought you boys would interested in a good running back. I know you got some players From Notre Dame when you grow up you will appreciate the fan and always will be Love You. UP here in York we see a running back like that we say damn thats a white running back. no disrespect we called Lassick from New Jersy who played for your daddy a white running back as well and he was black. up here we play no matter what coler thats just what we call them. so forget this and move.
