RE: Did turf contribute to injuries at WKU today?
I booed when USM first ran on the field...I'm just that kind of guy.

I did not boo when the players were injured. Anyone who has tried to come back from a torn labrum, rotator cuff, ACL, etc knows how terrible it is. It was bull**** that our fans booed and there's no excuse.

And no, in case you're wondering, I did not boo them. Even if they were faking it (no idea if they were or not) you don't boo that just in case somebody is actually seriously hurt.

True, thats why I would never boo a hurt player. There are so many ways to get injuried without even bring hit.

I think it was 22 who came right back into the game. I thought the ones who were carried off/limped off were legitimate but a few were suspect maybe trying to give tired defense a break. I don't ever boo in case they are seriously injured. It's not the field as most people play with this type of turf now a days.

I'm not trying to take anything away from USM's victory in Ruston last week, because they beat our arse. So, I want to be very clear about this...they BEAT OUR ARSE!

But LA Tech experienced much the same "injury" activity from USM last week in Ruston. Some people behind me started booing because they thought USM's players were purposely taking a dive after every LA Tech first down, or big play.

It was eery, and it slowed the game to a pathetic pace at one point. On one drive, a different USM defensive player went down with an "ankle injury" after each of LA Tech's first 3 1st downs were achieved. So essentially, there was an extra "timeout" after each of LA Tech's 3 first downs were made on that drive. Honestly, with all the USM injuries, it was kinda tuff for LA Tech to get some rhythm going offensively, much less run a "hurry up" tempo.

And by the way, in EVERY case, USM's "injured" defensive player re-entered the game after just a few more plays. Obviously that's a good thing....but you really did wonder if USM was "working it" to a degree.

Not saying the USM guys werent injured but It was definitely suspect especially since it happened consistently when Tech was moving the football.

Art Briles uses the fake injury at Baylor. Herbstriet called it pathetic and unethical when a Baylor player obviously went down and was caught doing it on TV. I was glad to see Texas beat Baylor today.

there was no doubt that some of the USM players was going down to slow things down, i watched one of the USM players push another USM player down and you could see him say stay down. its a kinda cheap way of perserving time outs and its kind of like the boy who cried wolf. still no excuse for the boos.

drop dead. you wanna hear about cheap?

cheap was the blindside piledriver that your guys put on dylan bradley. cheap was the headshot you put on our guy in the end zone a few years ago after the game was in hand, and he was all but turning and giving the ball to the ref.

you people have no room to talk about cheap, if that's the conversation that you're trying to start.

A lady standing near me at the game said "I feel like I'm watching World Cup soccer". Granted, it was hard for us fans in the stands, without replays, to tell which were serious injuries and which weren't.

what does "almost fake" mean? I'm trying to be a good and conference minded brother about this, but you're making it difficult.

If anybody is flirting with anything it's you. Their just simply stating what they observed and yes I observed the same thing last week when S.Miss played Tech. Let it go. Your right it's no reason to boo a player because you don't know if it's legit or not. But I vividly remember a S. Miss player doing that last week while Tech was driving the ball. It pissed me off but I didn't boo because who knows if it was legit or not. But when that player jumped up and walked off the field right after the crew decided to go to a TV timeout and then the same player was right back in the game. Come on, they were purposely trying to slow down that drive. Doesn't matter because S. Miss still whopped our ass! But surely you can understand why an opposing fanbase would get upset about that.

drop dead. you wanna hear about cheap?

cheap was the blindside piledriver that your guys put on dylan bradley. cheap was the headshot you put on our guy in the end zone a few years ago after the game was in hand, and he was all but turning and giving the ball to the ref.

you people have no room to talk about cheap, if that's the conversation that you're trying to start.

dude you need to chill the f out! i never said anyting other than a cheap way to get a time out.

whatever. be advised. there is a line. you're flirting with it.

But surely you can understand why an opposing fanbase would get upset about that.

dude, srsly? we obliterated your ass. now you want to mumble **** about guys laying down? is that really where you want to be?

if you really want to revive "the rivalry in dixie", you need to start by not being such a gavina.

You're hilarious. Not mumbling nothing. It happened and I witnessed it. Go to sleep before you embarrass yourself any further. S. Miss had a great year and will play in a bowl game, nothing to be upset about.

witnesses insist that bigfoot exists. I assume that you are one of them.

Ok, I will say it just because I love S. Miss and I'm glad they are doing well again. "S. Miss guys were hurt today. The Southern Miss players were hurt today and there is no way that a Head Football Coach with the passion to win like Coach Monken would ever consider to do such a thing to slow down a drive." Just kidding with the last part:) Things are looking up in Hattiesburg, be glad no reason to argue. Hope ya'll beat the hell out of whoever you play in bowl. 04-cheers
