Super is a slandering with coy little insinuations. 79 is just raising concerns about a player with legal matters in his past. I disagree with it but his is a very normal sentiment. That is why Thompson had his original schollie revoked and made him eligible for an EMU level program.

That said, I agree with you 100% on giving the TEENAGER a second chance. There are probably at least several regular students at EMU who are on similar second chances. But they can't contribute to the university like Thompson can so they go unnoticed and therefore unscrutinized. It is both ironic and unfair.

Lastly, I think your analogy of you ex does not fit this situation since I would imagine MOST people probably feel compelled to charge at you with blunt objects .
:-)
Ray, you make good points. I agree with you.

Bob does it occur to you that Thompson actually ADMITTED to part of the charges in the police report and denied others? And no where did I say Thompson should not be given a second chance. I don't agree that Still, Bryant are any different I'm fairly consistent that I don't like the program to take chances on players that can come back to bite the program.

And of course Ray your perspective on life and the program are always appreciated.

'79, I think we are pretty much on the same page. I just have a good feeling about James Thompson. I like that he has taken responsibility for his dumb mistake. He has owned it like a man and at no point does it seem like he is a habitual troublemaker. This is a great opportunity for James and EMU and the end result could be glorious! So I think we agree on this, I think we all support him and want the best for him and of course, the program.

We're fine Bob, as I"ve said before and I'll say I say it again I hope Mr. Thompson has a long productive career here at EMU and gets his degree. I wish him nothing but the best and enjoy watching him play.

I do as well. That's what college is for, I've met him twice and found him to be very pleasant. He just needs his emotions under control. As a positive note tim when in the students section and talked to them more playets should do this.07-coffee3
