Not a fan, but from a practical standpoint I can see a couple potential positives.

If he can recruit assistants, including an OC, as well as he can allegedly recruit players, it could work out well. I just hope his first order of business isn't to poach BG assistants just because they are there.

Posturing and leveraging. Could have come down to that, and potentially why that picture was "leaked" onto the net, IMO.

I don't have a problem poaching some offensive coaches from BG. They certainly have been successfull there. Most likely MAC champs because of the O. Stay away from their D coaches though.

It's the way of the business. Stutz was in Missouri before coming back to Toledo as well. As for Candle signing a contract or not with ISU, he could have and could still resign right away. Not very often that an assistant coach's contract has a stipulation that there is a buyout clause if they leave early.
