He reportedly has a 6 year contract, but I can't find the details. The guy he is replacing was paid $1.3 million a year, which was by far the lowest salary in the ACC. The NC coach is paid $1.9, but he is sure to get a big raise after this year. Everyone else is paid over $2 million, with Jimbo Fisher at the top at over $5 million a year.
It will be interesting to compare Baber's salary with Campbell's. I think Babers has stepped into a much better position than MC. Syracuse has had a couple of down years, but the potential to develop a winner at Syracuse seems to me to be much better than at Iowa State. I'm still baffled at how MC seems to be so attracted to ISU. He could have done much better. I guess the first team that dangled big $$ was all it took to hook him. You have to go back to the Earle Bruce era in the 70s to find a time that ISU football had any relevance at all. MC is promising ISU fans to raise the program to "elite" status. Good luck with that, Matt.
Syracuse is a terrible job. Have you been in that dump of a stadium? They haven't had a decent team in 20 years.

I have been to 2 Toledo games at Iowa St and 2 Toledo games at Syracuse. With that limited sample size and everything else being equal, I would take the position in Ames, hands down.

Babers offense in a dome for a minimum of 6 games a year is a scary thought.

Why doesn't Campbell now go after the BGSU recruits instead of Toledo guys?

Would you chase recruits from a school that lost six straight to UT? Although he probably will.

Just read some of his statements st the press conference. He handled the whole situation about as honorably as a person could handle it. I don't think I would hardly mind losing to a guy like that. Not that I'd know.

Well, I was going to say it seems like a decent football job because they beat us every time. I don't know about the environment and gameday experience, though, as I've never been up there for a game. Historically, it's seems like Syracuse is a little higher profile than ISU.

Don't you mean "CHEAT us every time?"
