D-Line: Jones, Covington, Gibbs, Collins (did he play much?)
Linebackers: Voss, Murdock
Secondary: Norrils, Dukes and Milligan who I thought was the highlight of the D this year. If Norrils was the defensive MVP, Milligan get's the playmaker award.

We might be better on the offensive side of the ball. I think we're better with Woodside at QB at least from a mobility standpoint. We lose one OL, but should be just as strong as this year. AT WR Russell isn't much of a loss at WR and we're pretty young at this position. We lose a TE, but we didn't really involve TE in the passing game much, but Richardson is back. I don't see Hunt leaving for the NFL, especially after the season he had, but if he does, I'm completely fine with Swanson, DJM and the rest of the justice league.

On the DL we have Hester and Moore upfront coming back. I'm sure we have some younger kids that with be able to add depth. Stepec will probably be one of those guys. That's how all programs work that recruit well and that is one thing this staff did well was recruit.

At LB.... There was a HUGE drop off in my opinion when Coleman went down. Murdock was average at best. If Coleman comes back next year heathy we are improved at LB. I tend to think Voss underachieved for a SR.

In the secondary we will see, Norrlis and Milligan definitely played well this year and are going to be tough to to replace. Swift and Mathis will probably be two of the guys that will have shot to replace them. Both seemed to have gotten some pretty good PT this year.

The DE transfer from Notre Dame (big kid about 6-6 250) will figure into the mix...

Yes. Could probably play LB'er also. Also have Stepec, Adeniyi.
DB's Martin, Mathis,Swift, Mattison, Rogers, Johnson, Teachy, Covington, etc. LB'ers:Coleman, Woodley, Quinn, Olekanma, Alexander,Taafe,
Green,etc.

Wondering why Green/Norwood was still in sweats for the WMU game.

1) I think Campbell was concerned that he wouldn't have as good a season next year, and 9 wins with one over Arkansas looked really good right now, so the window may have been closer to the 3 years that you mentioned than 1. Here was a chance to double or triple his pay, with low pressure for the next couple seasons...bird in the hand.

2) I wonder how serious the Missouri talk was...

3) Iowa State probably liked that fact that Campbell led the team to victories over Arkansas (big win in that part of the country, I'm sure) AND has beaten his rivals 4 straight times...Iowa is a big rivalry game for ISU, and I don't think they win it often nowadays.

You mean the 12-0 Hawkeyes who are playing for a B14 championship? Yep, ISU is right on their heals. 05-stirthepot

I would assume he's a RS.

Didn't ISU beat Iowa last season? Only win they had besides us? Without that Iowa win they were probably looking for a new head coach last year.

The ISU-Iowa game was 17-17 with 2:14 to go in the 4th quarter. Iowa hit
a TD pass, 24-17. ISU was picked off at their 25 yd line with a 1:44 to go.
instead of running the clock out, Iowa threw a 8 yd TD with a minute left,
31-17 final. Much closer game than it would appear.
