Campbell has a strong recruiting background in NE Ohio and Pittsburgh.
He can pull those recruits to the Big 12. I think MAC schools(particularly Toledo) will take a hit. ISU has a decent and very loyal fan base. I think Campbell can make ISU competitive.. They Lanning and Warren to build with.

Maybe they will let him bring Candle along.

Who will coach our bowl game? Maybe Heacock? Let Norrils run the defense. And for OC maybe they could find that blue blow up thing that used to stand on it's head on the sideline.

The I State coach said earlier this year that it is very difficult to recruit there, especially since there isn't a close airport.

Would be a strange match all the way around...Iowa State fans don't seem overly enamored with the prospect, but they don't have much to offer besides $$$.

Could explain some of the team's play yesterday, though, if true...both in terms of staff prep and team focus.

Find an FCS program with an experienced head coach & staff, one that has been routinely in the top 25 FCS for the past few seasons, and offer them the $$$ to come in as an entire staff.

Guarantee we won't be any worse than 3rd place in the MAC West.

Don't waste time offering one of the current staff--need a complete break this time. And we aren't going to be able to match what a P5 Coordinator is already getting, so it's either FCS, or an AAC Coordinator, or Les Miles...or Steve Spurrier (OK...just joking on those two, of course).

Good! It's a win-win. Make it happen, football gods!

I do wish Campbell well, regardless of any of my comments. I think that for whatever reasons his teams falter down the stretch. Believe it or not, I would be among the first to say "congrats" if he gets Iowa State into a bowl game in the next 3-4 seasons. It's good to have some successful coaches out there with Toledo ties.

Now let's go find the guy who can take us to the next step.
