Yeah, this one's a real piece of work. He knows every statistic possible on the Cajuns, whoever their opponent might be, and even the SunBelt but will proclaim loudly that the Cajun program isn't even on his radar.
I'd call him a liar but since he claims to be a trial lawyer, no need to be redundant.
Ouch

Trial lawyers go to battle for your Constitutional rights every day. It's one of the most important professions in America.

I don't know what to think about ULL, they have some talented players and a solid RB, but they appear to play up or down to their competition (other than vs. non-P5 OOC). Strange year for them.
ULL seems to be 5th or 6th in almost every statistic so on paper App wins, I don't see us covering 23 however.
I'd expect around 15k in attendance with the students gone unfortunately.
I feel like we've had bad luck with weather this year. It hasn't been cold for any of the home games this year. Oh Chione, what have we done to offend you?!!!

Really? Now, I will say that trial lawyers go to court every day to secure your property or your person against tort offenses or failure to meet contractual obligations. Very few cases involve Constitutional rights. In any event, nearly every trial lawyer I know pretty much considers the Constitution to be a set of suggestions to be manipulated in his client's interest.

Like every profession there are good ones and bad ones. Unfortunately for this country the bad ones bring a lot of problems (very costly problems) for the entire population.

"Trial Lawyer" usually refers to a criminal defense attorney. Those are the guys making Constitutional arguments every single day (literally). Constitutional rights are not merely a set of suggestions, they're compulsory and the bedrock of a free America. They're invoked all the time because they're consistently violated by the police. Maybe your friend is a prosecutor. Those guys aren't too fond of the Document.
Those insurance guys who weasel their way out of their obligations to families during their hour of need do a lot to earn the bad reputation lawyers tend to get. But keep in mind for every one of those there's a guy fighting for the family at the opposite table.
The national misconception about "frivolous" civil law suits is more a product of a big-money PR efforts by frequent defendants (massive corporations) than a reflection of reality. It is very rare and very difficult to recover anything frivolously and those PR efforts have influenced the legislators to reform tort procedures even more, making it much more difficult than it should be for deserving people to be made whole. There's a really good documentary called "Hot Coffee" that might surprise you if you watched it.
Those civil litigators aren't even in court very often anyway. Something upwards of 80% of civil claims are settled outside of a trial. Litigation is just too expensive given the changes in the law I was talking about for the average person to exhaust all the options to which they are (or used to be) entitled.

I think people are taking it way to seriously, I just think it's people just joking around. Being a lawyer takes a lot of skill, and professionalism, having a sense of what's right and wrong. Provide a neccessary service to this republic.

I see no reason for a 20+ point spread. ULL is fighting for their post season lives, will want revenge for last years loss, and have some seriously good players especially on offense. I don't understand their performance this year but wouldn't sell them short either.

I think the final spread will be dictated by whether UL-L has given up on the season or comes out with something to prove. Either team could win if the latter is the case.

Actually I have no negative experiences with lawyers.
What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 100? Your Honor
What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 50? Senator
Why won't sharks attack lawyers? Professional courtesy

Would you be in favor of a system where if you sued someone on behalf of a client for $10,000,000 but in the end lost the lawsuit, your client would be obligated to pay the guy he sued, $10,000,000?
