I have met Scott a few times...he is a good man...he was set up to fail with the very late hire and he loaded up the staff with friends.

NY's college team better rebound soon or they may not even be Upstate New York's team. A local radio jock must be pissed though then again, it's basketball season so he may not care.

Scott Frost? What, are they gonna run the option? It may not be a bad idea to bring it back to some schools.

Frost is the early frontrunner...The AD knew him from his time as Boise's AD and almost hired him for Boise.

If he comes...he'll need to get a few east coast guys to recruit though.

I'm surprised Ed's name continues to get thrown around for good jobs.

His time at Ole Miss was nothing short of a total catastrophe.

He is a darkhorse but I heard he wants the Cuse job. He coached at Cuse back under Pasqualoni. Eddie did pretty good at USC as an Interim...

Figured Matt Rhule's name would have been on that list.

Frost is bound to get one of the open jobs this year even if he doesn't get Syracuse for some reason. Oregon will have a big challenge replacing Frost; they've already had a rough ride with the replacement for their longtime defensive coordinator.

The biggest issue for a team that hires Frost as head coach now is, how long is he going to be there? The assumption is that his eventual goal is Nebraska, and it seems very likely that the Nebraska job will be available in 3 years or less.

I'd go for Mike Leach. His offense would set all kinds of records playing in the Carrier Dome.

My guess is he ends up at one of the really big jobs or maybe even stays put.

He probably won't get the Syracuse job but I think Joe Moorhead is ready to take a jump up and succeed. I would expect he gets a G5 job before a P5 job, but who knows.

Moorhead would be my first choice. If an fcs coach like Tressel can go directly to a p5 school like OSU, Morehead can go up to SU to coach.

I should argue that but I can't.

Joe Moglia is an interesting candidate, IMO. He's originally from the New York area, has won at Coastal Carolina, and is the current chairman of Ameritrade - so he $$$ to boot. I'm sure that would cause the NCAA infractions committee to bang their heads on their desks.

Lane Kiffin?????

Leave Mike Sanford alone. IF you want a coach with ND ties, Bob Davie and Ty Willingham are available. :)

Moorhead has done a great job at Fordham like Dave Clawson before him.
