A Prediction After the Houston Loss
We blew a lead with penalties, turnovers, and a missed kick and lost our second game in a row. If it has not already happened, some of the same folks lauding JF and the team will now turn on them both and offer harsh criticism. Such is the nature of fickle "fans" and it is utterly predictable.

Maybe you should read the definition. "fickle" is a change in loyalties. None of us switched sides to root for Houston. What's a shame are people that don't understand "venting" and that forums are an appropriate venue for expressing discontent.

Get off this board. Go celebrate your lucky win. Most overrated 10-0 team in history.

Absolutely no one is going to turn on Fuente. He is the epitome of what Pastner isn't.

It began long before the game was over, in fact.

Disagree... Houston will beat Navy and be in the NY bowl. They
are a very good undefeated team.

Theyre good, obviously. But there defense seems to be about as disciplined as ours, maybe a little more. Lets see if they can play a perfect game next week.

RE: A Prediction After the Houston Loss
I predict we will have a solid appreciative crowd for our final home game. Possibly going for our tenth win of the season...just two years removed from 3-9. And that just two years removed from a three years with five wins spread.

What a season. Bashing even a lousy Kansas on the road, and a thrilling set of wins over Bowling Green and Cincy. The solid pounding of the Bears, and getting to 8-0 and very much in the national conversation.

Tough loss to Navy, when turnovers and some tough offense finally was not enough to overcome a tired defense that resulted in the game getting out of hand late...meaning our first loss in 16 games!!

Team seemed to respond greatly..then fell victim to one of those tragic fourth quarters where every break went one teams way, including a start kicker pushing one right. It happens. We enjoy it when it happens to others. We are now good, and with heightened expectations come disappointments.

But I predict we will head to another bowl...back to back. The knowledge that we gave one away....but only after playing our asses off against an undefeated team. We were on the south side of a fluke.

Three more games. Expect to win them all.

Or...yes...I predict some will let these two games ruin it for them. Which would be a shame. Try not to ruin it for us.

Those penalties...the staff has to address that. All year we have racked up big penalties that have hurt this team. So many of these penalties border on being dirty. Get rid of that kind of crap.
