Walker was absolutely awesome for us tonight. He made big play after big play while never making a mistake. The secondary needs some serious work if we want to win the next 3. It's been a weakness all year. Our guys are often in good position but they fail to make plays or interfere....

Hardly ever see them look back for the ball, even if they have tight coverage. Not sure why.

On a side note, normally you see the punter used for the free kick not the place kicker. It seems like an odd choice to me.

In college football, on out of bounds plays clock only stops until the ball is placed by the ref except in the last 2 minutes of each half.

Yeah but it never stopped at all.

Don't remember the play you are talking about but a receiver/runner going out of bounds does not automatically stop the clock. One way is if forward momentum was stopped while the runner was still in play then went out of bounds after. There is another way or two but I'm not certain of how and wehn so I'll try to look it up and post it.

Temple - SMU
Just got home (I was one of the 17 people in the stadium). What a game. Wish we had a defense.

Talked to some Temple fans walking back to the parking lot after the game. They flew down from Philly for the game. Exceptionally nice people. Represented TU very well.

Agree, this was a good game... Heck, even the unis looked top notch.

I didn't care for the red, white and blue logo but the all red look was sharp otherwise.

I don't even know what that means.

Oh boohoo, I won't just be homerish in every post and will say things that can be viewed negatively toward the team I root for.

I thought being a homer was what got you criticized. 01-wingedeagle

Don't you mean against the Cowboys? Imagine if every school had to play at the same time as their NFL team (with USF and TU obviously having to go on the road simultaneously).

UH has plenty of alums, students and people in the city to fill up TDECU. We're not talking about how I feel, we're talking about him. UH had bigger crowds (outside Texas State) during the Keenum years than this year.

It will get better and I predict 35K for Cincy but I won't fault a man incensed that he can't get 40K sold for a top 25 team for a major university in a major city.

Gonna echo what others have said here. If SMU finds a defense they are going to be dangerous. This Temple team giving up 40? Never would have believed it.

Good point. I dont know which is more shocking. I was very impressed with SMU offense. especially the OL. They played better than Penn state and ND offensive line.

Kudos to SMU. If you find a defense, you will be in the hunt. Or just move to the Big 12.
