Dry is very good. Cold is no big deal.
Tell that to my toes LOL!
Actually other than that, that game really wasn't bad. Still cannot figure out why my feet were so bad off (had multiple pairs of socks)

RE: UC vs. Tulsa Nov 14th Game time
For some reason I don't remember Pitt 2008 being that cold. The games I remember being cold are ones where I wasn't totally prepared for the weather (Memphis last year, USF in 2012).
I'm surprised no one mentioned the Pitt game in 2010. Must have been a good 6 inches of snow on the ground. Even though we sucked and played terribly, we had a blast during the game. Made koozies out of snow to hold our beer. Our group of 3 made up about 20% of the total fans sitting up in the Shank that day. I bet by the 4th qtr. there were less than 100 people in the stands.

Cold does matter, but it depends how cold. The ECU game last year is a case in point. First of all it was a televised game on Thursday night. Game time temperature was 27. The wind was constant at at least 20mph. It was cold.
The announced attendance was 19,000 and something. Many people retired to the warmth club area, but mostly they never showed or left way early.
The Pitt game in 2008 was chilly, but hardly the worst.

For me, the most miserable game ever was the 2010 Pitt game. Last game of the season and it snowed hard the whole game. The snow made your clothes wet (especially jeans) and made the 29 degree temperature feel much, much colder.

No matter how cold you can dress for cold weather. Wet is just miserable no matter the temperature.

I remember a miserably cold Sunday night USF game. Maybe around 2007-2008?

RE: UC vs. Tulsa Nov 14th Game time / The most miserable game I ever attended
UC v. Miami of florida in 1987. We played the game at Riverfront Stadium on a very cold wet night. We got an early lead and gave it up soon after. We took off our shirts and pledged not to put them back on till we regained the lead. Needless to say we got very sick.

It wasn't cold, but the most miserable game I attended was in the Hoosier Dome against 1-AA Indiana State and UC got destroyed something like 45-3. Dave Currey was the coach.
There were about 500 people in that 60,000 seat stadium. People could hear me screaming "Wake Up!" at the Bearcats.

I am sure others will agree, when I played from Pee Wee (City Champs) through HS cold was tolerable, wet was annoying, cold and wet was hated!

Hey! I was also at that game.
Drove back to campus after the game and went to JC's bar, where there were several football players. They were laughing and hoping that maybe that performance would finally get the coach fired. Those were sad times for UC football.

ISU had several players that originally attended UC but transferred due to the coaches. I was rooting for ISU at that game.

The sad thing was this was only one or two years removed from the competitive 1986 team. I think we also had a loss to Morehead State around the same time.

Pitt 2010 would be mine. My dad and I (both UC alums) decided to take my 5 year old son to his first Bearcats game. 6 inches of snow fell in the first half and Pitt was creaming the Bearcats. 3 cups of hot chocolate for the boy (and a couple of beers for dad and me) later, this was the first time I have ever left a UC game early. The boy was too cold but he still talks about bundling up and going to the game in the snow. One of my favorite pictures of the two of us is us in our winter gear, sporting our team colors in front of the Christmas tree. A great time but it was pretty miserable...probably because of a combination of the conditions, a miserable/cold/sugared up kindergartner and the outcome of the game. Oh yeah, didn't the Bearcat get arrested during that game too?
