Favorite MAC stadium
DON'T CHOOSE YOUR OWN EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW IT'S THE BEST!

I like Scheuman (sp?) for character. Akron's was modern and nice, but lacked the environment of a some other stadiums in the conference. That's what I get for seeing a game there the day after Thanksgiving! (ps. we lost)
WMU's is different, and quite large for MAC standards. I'd like to see a sell out there.

The two I have not been to are Miami's and Penden down at OU. We haven't played at either since I have been in school.

RE: Favorite MAC stadium
Since I can't give my obvious choice of Waldo, because of how it was built into the hill, the train tracks across the street, the to hills on each side of the press box side, how close the fans are to the fiel, it's location to downtown Kalamazoo, the band, the students and the entire game day experience.

My top two are:

Peden and the Glass Bowl in that order.

Outside of WMU I've been to NIU, CMU, EMU and Toledo. Of those the answer is easily the Glass Bowl. More character, better atmosphere, welcoming fans, even better concessions than the others. I do think Waldo is up there but I'm of course biased.

Waldo (WMU) is my Favorite after my home stadium, the Glass Bowl.

RE: Favorite MAC stadium
Obviously the Glass Bowl is number 1, but since I can't pick it:

Waldo, great old stadium, love the way it is built into the side of a hill, that Amtrack goes right by the stadium and some interesting concessions.

Kelly-Shorts, another neat setting, also partially built into the side of a hill, really good brats and smoked sausage.

Peden, more so for the setting in Athens, don't like the way the stadium is piece mealed together.

Infocision, real nice, new modern, only been there once, would like to get back to get a better feel.

The rest are note worthy of mention.

Waldo and The Glass Bowl.

Love how one side of Waldo is built into the hill. Also like that there's seating on all four sides.

The Glass Bowl has its flaws, but it also has has a character unlike any other in the MAC. Kind of a sinister feeling when you walk into it!

Obviously spending a cold, windy, rainy November afternoon at Dix Stadium is the finest experience in all of college football, but since I can't choose that, and I'm confined to MAC stadiums, I actually like the clean lines of the new Yager configuration.

If you factor in things like game atmosphere, rivalries, competitiveness. etc. then that changes things. Just the empty stadium is all I considered. (And I know empty stadiums!)

Waldo, but I haven't seen a lot of them since I was in school. I actually like EMU's a lot.

What makes things somewhat tricky is that some stadiums have changed a lot since 20 years ago (or even less).

As of tonight, I've been to "Mount" "Pleasant" and The Factory.

(Besides Waldo), I have to believe I haven't been to a favorite MAC stadium yet.

Nothing pleasant about that mount and I'm sure many of my fellow EMU fans are not a fan of the current design and condition of Rynearson.

The team that plays in it and the childish home fans who sit in it. 03-wink

I like Rynearson too, but the best one I've been to is Peden...mainly because it's located in the most beautiful fall location in the whole state of Ohio.

I've only been to Toledo and Ball State. Glass Bowl has kind of a sinister appearance at night (naturally, we only play them at night now). Didn't have much time to check things out. I liked Scheumann stadium a little better though there weren't many fans when I went. It has a little quaint feeling to it but not in the 'old' sense like Huskie stadium, maybe because it has an actual press box with running water and electricity.

Glass Bowl
Peden
Waldo
Kelley-Shorts
Doyt Perry
Rynearson
Huskie
Scheumann (the stadium an amenities are nice, but it feels very high schoolish)

Haven't been to Dix, Infocision, Yager, or UB.

It looks sinister during the day as well. Even moreso before the redo.
