You mean the dolphin's stadium (Sun Life Stadium). 22 miles away?

Miami has 6 million people. The U isn't Florida Atlantic or Florida Int'l. A little younger school than Memphis and slightly fewer students. But a lot more money.

One of the greatest histories in College football, in a power conference, in a tropical climate.

Yeah, it sucks.

They may have a larger budget, but I do believe they are fiscally struggling.

I didn't say it sucks. I said it's not the job it's made out to be.

you have to have a coach that has been plugged into South Florida recruiting. Fuente is not that guy.

Agree.

You only have to worry about FSU and Clemson.

You don't have to sign ALL the top players in state - just get your fair share.

I think a guy like Babers or Brohm would kill it there.

They gotta go offense and have someone with some charisma. Schnellenberger and Johnson had it. Not saying Fuente wouldn't take it, just don't think it's a good fit for his personality. Plus how much are they willing to pay down there. What is Golden making ?

Admittedly, I do not know much about the specifics on the overall quality of athletics facilities but every national sports talk person who I have heard talk about Miami (including Scott Van Pelt on Sportscenter) have referenced Miami's sports facilities being substandard, the issue of the football stadium being so far from campus and the lack of fan support even when they were dominated college football.

The RIGHT guy not just any good coach.. It's a unique program that needs a unique coach that knows and understands the environment, the politics and how to sell it.

Bologna. If a coach can recruit and win at an above-average rate, Miami is an amazing program. Built in talent pool, no unwinnable yearly out of conference rivalry games, one of the softest divisions in college football. Hell, it's a statistic anomaly that one of these past coaches hasn't managed to luck into the ACC championship game by now.
