I was already chanting "Fvck Toledo" by the third quarter of the EMU game. Toledo is a real solid team, but they aren't unstoppable. The Huskies against a ranked team on national television, I think they will be ready to battle.

Toledo's red zone defense is very good. However, they gave up 5 TDs to UMass, 3 of which were in the red zone. I hope our coaches can pick up some ideas!

Yes, the Huskies have 3 of their 4 MAC Titles in the last 5 years. It has been the apex of NIU FB. I say congrats. You've been able to add 5 wins to the 8 you've previously had against UT's 29. and now have 4 MAC Championships vs Toledo's 10. Again Congrats and Good Luck!

I like Boca, but he's always so passive aggressive/backhanded compliment. Toledo hasn't won a title in 11 years but still backhands NIU for going to the title game six times in those 11 years to Toledo's goose egg.

I get you may have lived a longer life and enjoyed Toledos success, but for people like myself, I'm 24, Toledo has been NIUs second fiddle since I was able to enjoy football at a better understanding. For instance my nephew is 11 years old and in 6th grade, Toledo hasn't been better than any MAC west team in that time.

Outside of your lack of perspective, you generally are a solid poster. Backhanded gets annoying though.

His reply was to some trash talk that was stepped up a bit. That was the best response without going to the NIU posters level. NIU does have recent history on its' side and Toledo's success has been in the past. As we get closer to the game, more of the trash talk will become stronger. It only takes 1 post from each fan base to get it going.

Holy crap I didn't realize it has been 11 years since Toledo won a title. Since there are only 12 teams in the conference does there have to be some type of dog years conversion on that. So 11 times 7 is 77 years. Not quite as bad as the cubbies

I posted a question to Toledo fans in one of their threads and many of their answers were without their best interests in mind.

Question: if you were to go 3-1 the rest of the season and the 1 loss was between BG (rival) and NIU (non-rival), which would you pick? Many of the initial responses said BGSU, even if it meant losing the MAC West to NIU. Eventually they started posting the most logical answer - beat NIU, and then beat BGSU in the MACC.

And I noticed Toledo fans think BG is much more dangerous than NIU. They do have a more potent offense, but our D, especially against the run, is better than BG. The posts in Toledo and WMU are very similar to last year. Because we lost to CMU, we aren't as good a team as years past.

Here's the thing with BG: #1 Historic rival in a close all-time series. There is no love between these two programs. #2 A road game for the Rockets. #3 This is one of BG's better teams. #4 Rockets have won 5 straight, but throw enough pumpkin and poo against the barn, sooner or later some is gonna stick.

There is NO slight towards NIU. Huskies are defending MAC Champs with a 5 game win streak over Toledo. NIU's loss to CMU means nothing to me. NIU is NIU A must win for the Rockets.
