interesting. Do people feel like this extension was warranted based on what he's done to date?

What has he done to deserve being relieved of his duties? He's scheduling aggressively for FB and MBB, oversaw completion of the Nippert project, negotiated a great deal with Under Armour and is working hard on the 5/3 project. I think he's doing a fine job overall from what I can see. If someone wants to enlighten me, please do. I see no issue with this extension. If he gets us out of the AAC we should name a building after him. #sarcasm

After a revolving door in the AD's office over the past few years, it would be nice to have a little stability for a while.

What has he done?

No coaching hires. No fires although a change in WBB is needed.

Did not start Nippert redo. Working on Shoe redo. Working on licking Lindner soccer boots to screw up Nippert. Hasn't got us out of dreadful AAC.

So what good has he done.

Agreed. It also appears he has brought in some new sponsorships at Nippert. I like how he conducts open town hall meetings and gave fans a viewing of the new football uniforms at Kenwood Mall.

Obviously CR is the 800 lb gorilla in the room but in fairness to him that fate was sealed before he got here and there is only so much he can do to get us out of the AAC.

Seems like he has done a decent job but I wonder what the hurry to extend him was since he still had two and a half years left on his current contract. Maybe they just wanted the long term stability.

Sounds like Bohn accidentally bumped into someone and caused their wine glass to spill.

What the heck? He got canned from his last job, and he's been a super nice guy.....but nobody up stream is likely beating his door down.....wonder why we felt obligated to do this now when he was under contract for 3 more years? Did we get into the B12 when I wasn't paying attention?

Interesting move. I'm even more convinced Tubby is about to get extended into Hillary's second term.

I like him, my point is why the extension so soon.

He does respond to emails quickly and is very open.

No wine spillage.

I'll come down on the side of "stability is good". Each time the AD has changed there has been extensive upheaval downstream with key staff in areas such as development and ticketing.

So the real question is, do Ono and the Board feel Bohn is the guy to help get UC to the P5, or is this his reward for having completed that task; announcement to follow in the near future? Sorry, couldn't resist stirring it up a bit.

likewise i dont see the need for this now. i think its a problem when fans cant tell what someone has done except really screw up. i can see if he keeps tubberville how attendance will start to decline drastically.

That is where I'm at. Not sure what he's done at this point to warrant a 3 year extension with basically 3 years still to go on the current one. Now don't get me wrong, I think he's been considerably better than Babcock.

Maybe he's gotten them into the P5 and the public doesn't know it yet. That is about the only thing I can see to warrant an extension with so much time still left on his current contract.

If I had to guess, I'd say attendance has been rather high during Bohn's time here. Can anyone verify this?

He has performed well. Seems to be looking for additional revenue streams and fundraising well. The 5th/3rd redo is his major project, so far. Stability can be a good thing. As others have stated, why the rush to extend him now? I am not sure why this could not wait another year or two, unless something happened behind the scenes to warrant the action.

I dont see the problem. Seems like an enthusiastic guy who can really sell the place. Even helped get a deal in place thatll greatly benefit UC in a partnership with FC Cincinnati.

If for some reason he cant get the funds raised for 5/3, THEN we'll have a problem, but as of now I think its a solid move.
