Polling Slants
As always, I am bewildered by the way the polls stack Cartel 5 teams in the top 65-70 slots all year long and sprinkle four or 5 of the Non-Cartel 5 (Boise State, etc.) in between the 25-40 slots. The worst culprit appears to be College Football News with Western (our best CUSA team this far) being placed in the low 70's. So, what can we do about this garbage?

Win more games.

You can't complain about this when you are 2-20 or whatever it is now against said competition.

This. Our best team can't get beat by Indiana. MT has to beat Vandy and Illinois. Marshall can't get beat by Ohio. We had low hanging fruit this year and didn't capitalize. MT was the biggest culprit.

The home field advantage for an SEC team vs a G5 is huge. I would definitely give WKU a fighting chance if they were playing in Bowling Green

I hate that we lost to IU. Having Leon Allen get hurt the week before and still having our number 2 back out for two more weeks after left us using a freshman running back, and that just killed us for that game. I think we replay that game we would win by three or more scores........but the world don't know that stuff

Starting Birdsong to preserve a redshirt cost us a real run at having WKU potentially ruin another undefeated season.

Its in the past now, but we are set at QB for 3.5 more years again, so it'll be alright. Sneaking up on the top 25 again, going to be a hell of an atmosphere in bowling green with 2 10-1 teams squaring off for the cusa east title.

We would have beaten IU at home this season, still something to be said to go on any P5's field and knock them off...Last 5 years I am sure it has not happened very much with any school like ours....Memphis got Ole Miss at home too, sometimes it all depends on timing and home games...This season only having 5 home game for quite possibly our best team ever was not great timing...

Quite bit actually especially against the lower P5 like Indiana- Just Tech- Ole Miss, Illinois, Virginia.

Memphis won at home in the Liberty bowl

There is a whole thread above in the fixed Important section about wins vs P5 and not all the wins happen at home.

Interesting threads. I see a recurring theme on there - Purdue, Indiana, Vandy, Wake Forest, Kansas
