Were there some bad calls by the refs? Maybe, but over all they did a good job. Missed some calls on NIU, but it was the same with UT. That is always going to happen. I can live with bad or missed calls so long as they are keeping control of the game, being even and fair while keeping the game from becoming thug land on the field. In this, I think that the refs did a great job.

Bottom line, the refs are not responsible for NIU winning. Toledo had it and then pissed it away.

Yep...I remember one NIU receiver who got mugged earlier in the game that wasn't called. We can play this game all day...

Fine, I can play this game as well. At least three of the NIU field goals, if not four, should have been touchdowns punched in by the offense. If so, NIU wins by 21.

But not if there had been a rule change allowing Ely's 3 bad passes on the first series to be TDs. Then it would be tied.
