Why would they be embarrassed? They had that trophy in their locker room for a year and focused on keeping it home. They did it and are excited that they won the game. Should Diaco be embarrassed for making the thing? Yeah, but the kids shouldn't be for being excited to keep it home.

i see nothing to be embarassed about..whenever you start something new it will always be awkward

we are a slapped together conference, we need rivalries as a conference...6-7 more years of this and this might become a legitimate thing..

Probably because they won. I'm sure hoisting it in the air on UCF's field was fairly rewarding given all the criticism and UCF wanting nothing to do with it.

Also, if creating random rivalries/trophies results in UCONN winning/being more competitive in games then I hope Diaco makes one with every team in the AAC.

The real question is why you care so much to create another thread on the topic...
