RE: National TV Appearance Count
I like how everyone skipped over my post that explained this. The games are only scheduled up until 10/17 (and the Thursday or Friday games after that). Every AAC controlled game that isn't nationally televised on or before 10/17 has been against FCS opponents, with the exceptions of Texas State @ Houston and Louisiana Monroe @ Tulsa.

Do you guys really believe that the AAC has zero nationally televised games for the last 6 Saturdays of the season?

You really believe Notre Dame @ Temple isn't going to be nationally televised?
Navy @ Memphis?
Cincinnati @ Houston?
Memphis @ Houston?
Memphis @ Temple?
Navy @ Houston?
Cincinnati @ ECU?

All of those games and plenty more are going to be nationally televised WHEN THEY ARE ANNOUNCED.

Houston "only" has 3 nationally televised games because their AAC controlled games during this time are

Tennessee Tech @ Houston (NO)
Texas State @ Houston (NO)
Houston @ Tulsa (YES)
SMU @ Houston (YES)
Houston @ Tulane (YES)

There isn't a national audience to watch Houston play Tennessee Tech or Texas State. But do you really think the AAC is going to nationally broadcast Houston's games against the bottom 3 teams in the West but not against Memphis and Navy or against Cincinnati from the East?

My OP clearly states that the list doesn't include games yet to be scheduled or announced.

I'm an out-of-town Tulane kid, and I really appreciate being able to watch EVERY. SINGLE. TULANE. GAME. In C-USA, we never got this much exposure.

I feel like it's an actual Division I program now. I remember missing over half the season in our bowl year...

Yes, I know. That wasn't aimed at you. It was aimed at comments about how the smallest market is getting the most games and the largest market is getting the least. Or that they are sleeping on Houston.

It has nothing to do with that. Every AAC conference game or OOC home game that isn't against an FCS team or Texas State/LA-Monroe has been picked up for national broadcast so far. By the end of the year I would expect every team to be pretty equal. Any difference is going to be who played crappy OOC home games and who played decent OOC home games.

ECU is likely to pick up two more games (USF and Cincinnati, the only two that haven't been assigned yet) and Houston is likely to pick up the 6 AAC controlled games on their schedule that aren't assigned. So by the end of the season Houston will probably have 9 and ECU will have 8, which stems from the fact that Houston plays in 11 AAC controlled games (all but @ Louisville) and ECU plays in 9 (@UF, @BYU, and @ Navy are not AAC controlled).

Basically if you play in an AAC controlled game and it isn't against a total crap OOC opponent, expect it to be televised. Markets, preferential treatment from the conference, and expected order of finish have nothing to do with it.

ECU vs Navy was on CBSCS. ECU vs. Towson was on ESpN3 but was also televised on Verzon Fios and other large cable companies nationwide. I watched ECu vs Towson on a verizon Fios in the Washington DC area.

1) Navy controlled, not AAC 2) ESPN3 is not a national broadcast
