If All-AAC was named today
IF the season ended today this is what i think the all conference team would look like
Offense:
QB: Keenan reynolds, Navy (i think the conference is set on giving it to him)
note: keenan is atleast getting first or second..meaning ward or paxton arent getting honors.
WR: Keevan Lucas, Tulsa (injured last game, if he cant return soon enough someone else will get it)
WR: Courtland Sutton, SMU (playing for a bad team will hurt his chances)
TE: Bryce Williams, ECU
RB: Jahad Thomas, temple
RB: Marlon Mack, usf
OL:??
Defense:
DL: Nate D. Smith, temple
DL: Folorunso Fatukasi, uconn
DL: Royce LaFrance, tulane
DL: Bruce Hector, usf
LB: Tyler Matakevich, Temple
LB: Steven Taylor, Houston
LB: Zeek Bigger, ECU
LB: Eric Wilson, Cincy
DB: William Jackson, Houston
DB: Michael Mudoh, Tulsa
DB: Adrian Mcdonald. Houston
DB: Andrew Adams, uconn
note: 3 of the db i named are Safties....its 2 safeties and 2 cb...no other touted cb in the league that was clear cut...but on the real thing it will be 2 cbs
edited to to change the DBs

i know, their hasnt been very much stand out DB's in the AAC,
he has been beat a few times, but atleast he has a couple pass breakups to his name
half the league has bad defenses and the few that have good ones are reliant on the LBs and DLine
edit: i changed it

RE: If All-AAC was named today
Hmmm...
From an ECU standpoint, the only players that come to mind that could be worthy of discussion TODAY...
Zeek Bigger - LB
Montese Overton - LB
Bryce Williams - TE
Worth Gregory - P
Quincy McKinney - OG
Isaiah Jones - WR
In a few weeks...we can add:
Trevon Brown - WR (Was suspended first 3 games. Has lit it up since.)
James Summers - QB (Most exciting player at the QB position in a LONG time at ECU.)

I think Montese Overton will be a first teamer as well. Not sure who to remove though

Our League is STACKED with LBs. this by far the strongest position group in the league..
every team in the league can name 2 players who they think is 1st all aac LB worthy, someone is going to be disappointed

I think you can replace Lucas with Garrett. Lucas tore something I'm pretty sure.

Also, Reynolds is just a Rb under center. Not sure he is guaranteed honors.

5.5 TFL 4 Sacks 32 Tackles, and 3 Pass Breakups
4 TFL 2 Sacks 39 Tackles and a INT
1 TFL 0 Sacks 53 Tackles 2 Pass Breakups Forced and Recovered fumble
Which one would you pick for a linebacker?

he has been named AAC player of the week and or given AAC honors ever week since week 1
ward got it this week, but reynolds got honors
reynolds beyond the ecu game hasnt put up any not worthy stats
last week he got player of the week, he had less than 200yard of total offense and 3tds versus uconn
ward has 6tds almost 300yds passing and 100yds running, in a little over 2 quarter before the back up came in.....
hayden moore broke cincy's school passing record with 500yds and had 5tds
reynolds got it wit less than 200yds and 3tds,
he got honors this week with 1 td and 180yds rushing, our rb had 160yds rushing a 2td got nothing,
to me its obvious they have shown favoritism and will treat him as such...i highly doubt he falls below second team ..to me its a lock he is first or second team

RE: If All-AAC was named today
Despite running a balanced offense, Ward only trails Reynolds by 16 rushing yards.
There's no question that if all 3 continue to play the way they are, they all deserve honors, so hopefully the AAC will find a creative solution. Perhaps something like this:
Ward - POTY
Reynolds - 1st team QB
Lynch - 2nd team QB

It's difficult in that all three are different style quarterbacks.

You may have hit on how they might go about it. Very tough decision at this juncture. That said, its a long season. The decision may be easier by the time November rolls around (lol---or it could be even harder).

This just goes to show where all the power is this year. Sure, you can bicker about this or that person instead...but the group of teams remain the same. That wasn't the case last year as the AAC had talent on teams not in the upper tier.

Paxton Lynch will very much be in the discussion for 1st team all conference. We're already hearing his name as a sleeper Heisman candidate (which seems like a stretch, but still).
Jae'Lon Oglesby will make some noise before the end of the year
Nick Jacobs or Spencer Smith should get a nod on special teams, as should Jake Elliott
Doroland Dorceus or Jarvis Cooper could back into a 2nd or 3rd team slot
...as could Roderick Proctor
Worth Gregory is better than Nick Jacobs and Spencer Smith
Smith:
17 Punts
49.59 AVG
72 Long
2 Touchbacks 12%
6 inside 20 35%
Gregory
20 Punts
42.7 AVG
71 Long
2 Touchbacks 10%
8 Inside 20 40%
Jacobs isn't even worth putting down. He has 6 inside the 20 on 7 Punts but 4 are fair catches. A short AVG and 6-7 inside the 20 and the other a touchback seems to lend that he just comes in on midfield Punts and Smith booms it downfield. Would that be correct?
It should be noted we have punted around the 50 yard line a lot and that brings down Worth's AVG

They all play each other. I would assume the QB of the West champ will be the 1st team QB. They are all excellent and beyond the top three, there are some other pretty good QBs in this league.
I think Lynch is the best bet to win in the pros, I'd say the Navy guy is the best college story (patriotism, etc), and Ward is the one that keeps me up at night.
I'd be a homer and say Lynch is the objective best, but Ward scares the absolute crap out of me in ways I doubt Lynch scares our opponents.

The biggest threat at QB in the West is easily Reynolds.
