TXST at UL game week
This is the game I get most excited to see in conference play each year. UL is the closest team distance wise and I'd like to see this game grow as a rivalry.
TXST has come into this game two years in a row full of confidence and got rocked twice. They are they only team in the conference that TXST have struggled with. Both teams are coming off sluggish starts with poor defenses. I'm hoping this is the year the Bobcats finally step up and hang with or beat the Cajuns.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, ooooohhhh no . . . . You can't take out patented start and claim it as your own . . . . .
You guys have had our number the last two years . .. Hoping that this year we get over that hump, and it's not just another case of y'all getting healthy at our expense.

If you guys can't beat this Cajun team, it's time to trade in the jock-straps for tu-tus.

I think we get it together and win this one. It's not like our defense has anywhere to go but up the rest of the season lol.

Any Bobcats making the trip? I considered it since it's not too bad to get to but I've got too much going on and have a couple trips coming up that I have decided to stay home.

Sabine River Showdown.
In the early part of the 19th century, the lands along the Sabine were contested between Spanish Texas and United Louisiana. So the governments came together and created a no-man's land owned by neither country.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutral_Gr...uisiana%29
"The area covered by the agreement was declared off-limits to soldiers of both countries. The agreement also stipulated that no settlers would be permitted in the Neutral Ground. Nevertheless, settlers from New Spain and the United States territory began to move in. Some American settlers took Spanish land grants known as the Rio Hondo claims. Others simply squatted on unclaimed land. This lawless area also attracted exiles, deserters, political refugees, fortune hunters, and a variety of criminals. Eventually, the highwaymen organized to the degree that they manned outposts and organized spies in order to better fleece travelers and avoid the American and Spanish military.[7] In 1810 and again in 1812 the two governments sent joint military expeditions into the area to expel outlaws."

People are going. They have that bus also (not sure how full it is or if they've had to add another or not.) that is making a Houston stop, along the way, to grab more folks.

Yeah I considered the bus but it would be cheaper for me not to take it. But it sure would be easier.

My prediction for this game:
TX State arrives a day early for the game, and UL's head coach offers them a tour of the new Ragin' Cagin Athletic Center. The Bobcats are so impressed, that their memories of its grandeur are a distraction during the game. At kickoff, all they can think about is the amazing Louisiana team meeting room. On critical third downs, all they can see is the beautifully crafted wooden trim of the Cajun's lockers. UL capitalizes on their preoccupied minds and steals the win!
It will be the most strategic game plan of all time.

Alternately, we could just own them like we have the last few years. Thinking it through though, your plan is likely more solid.

Whoa ho ho there friend... One thing you haven't considered is that we have....
crap, I got nothing.
Our team needs a shot of enthusiasm, confidence, and core tackling. I don't think a game against the Cajuns is a good recipe for that.
