RE: Tailgate Recipe of the Week: Week 5
Sounds great. Here's a little recipe for everybody (I hope somebody else gets the reference):
Milk Steak
Ingredients:
1 medium 8.8 oz flat iron steak
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup jelly beans
Instructions:
1. Add the milk, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla to a medium-sized saucepan. Heat up the mixture, stirring until the honey has completely dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil.
2. Carefully place the steak in the boiling milk mixture. Reduce the heat so that the heat is simmering.
3. Cook the steak for five minutes on one side, stirring the top occasionally to stop a skin from forming on the milk.
4. Turn the steak over and cook for another five minutes on the other side. For authenticity, the steak should be cooked "over hard" with very little pink in the center.
5. Serve with a side of your finest jelly beans (raw).
