KSU Wrestling must hit it big this year during the season/post season and on the recruiting trail, as they will lose 5 of their starting 10 spots to graduation/out of eligibility.

I was a little disappointed to see only Miller ranked in the top 20. I'm a little nervous as to how this team will perform this year.

I would love to summarize the entire attachment, but kids and work have me running around like the proverbial chicken. Breese is playing football, Tutolo is a stud (6th in nationals), and Lytle will not wrestle until January. McGuire is a top 12 wrestler who could AA so I'm not sure why he's not listed as top 20 by some resources. DePalma has the talent to AA. Then again, so do a lot of kids. Miller vs Imar (Illinois) will be the best of the finals in March. A second place finish behind Mizzou is the goal but OU has its best team in quite some time. Sam Wheeler is at CSU with former KSU coach, Josh Moore. We've already signed a stud for our next recruiting class but need to grab another 1 or 2 to get back to top 10 potential.

Lytle, I hear, is out for the season with an injury.

That would explain Suglio's move up to 285 after Conel established himself at 197.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. I haven't heard that he's hurt so I'm going with "no news is good news". With his style and propensity to be injured, they shouldn't wrestle him all of the time, especially against the likes of this weekend's opponents.

Should be an interesting season, with the Lytle injury, but still a lot of talent in the lineup.

Smith didn't wrestle last weekend because of injury, but I don't know how serious it is.

2 more wins this weekend against Tiffin & Lake Erie College.

The Lytle injury really hurts as Breese is no longer here. Breese is @ Edinboro and a member of their football team as a DT.

Nice performance in LasVegas this weekend. Finished 8th in a 40 team tournament that had 13 top 25 teams in it. Miller finished first and was never in trouble. De Palma took fifth and McGuire a seventh. If those three keep it up we could have a nice tournament team this year. Other Mac schools in the tournament were champion Missouri and Northern Iowa who finished behind us.

Yes, very good showing in Las Vegas NV this past weekend. This coming Sunday they host Buffalo @ 2pm @ the MACC in the opening MAC matchup. Then they host Missouri the following Sunday, in what will be a tough matchup.

Anybody know why Vollant is starting over Spohn @ 174lbs? Spohn got a lot of wins & experience last year and Vollant has never really been in the starting lineup until this year. Injury? Slump? Andrassy rewarding a 5th year senior for some meaningful mat time?

Vollant was the starter at the beginning of last year until an early injury ended his season. If healthy, Vollant is the better wrestler.

KSU won 9 of 10 matches today, defeating Buffalo 28-3. Other than the Miller win, the matches were very close today; most were decided with short time remaining or OT. KSU showed a lot of heart to pull out so many wins.
