San Diego State should be a much better program than they are given their location and the talent base surrounding it.

After their tough OT loss last week, I would not want to be Purdue this week as BG should be coming out of the tunnell angry and highly motivated to take their furstrations out on the Boilers.

Very shallow analysis ... but I wouldn't expect anything more from someone who doesn't watch the Gophers.

Kent offense literally couldn't do anything against Gophers' D. Their 7 points came on a Gopher fumble and the Kent CB running it back for a touchdown.

Granted, as I said, the Gophers offense had serious issues.

Kent literally sold everything they had to stop the run. 9 in the box, blitzing and stunting almost every play.

That's allowed. The Gopher O has to be able to pass effectively.

So that said, Ohio has no chance of winning. They can't score on this Gopher D. Simple as that. And the game is in Minneapolis. If it was in Ohio, maybe different story.

Ohio U. is a much better team than Kent. Minnesota are on an Upset Alert.

If the Gophs win 3-0, someone will call that an upset. I call it a win.

So if Kent State couldn't do anything on offense, then their defense must have been on the field a lot. But they don't seem to have been worn down by that. Just how bad was Minnesota's offense?

Ohio has a better offense than Kent, no question.

Ohio is a good team. That's why they are only a 10 1/2 point underdog to a Big Ten team. Lesser MAC teams are 3-4 TD underdogs this week and last.

The thing about the Ohio/Minnesota game- if your offense is struggling like what Minnesota has- if you give up a fluky TD- that could be the margin. Your margin for error is a lot less than a game where you score even 20 points.

Like coach Kill said, play great defense and don't turn the ball over. That's what Gophs have to do the rest of the season, unless a passing game falls out of their rear ends.

it doesn't have to just be on defense. Special teams play. fluke bounce.

The B1G is already 29-11 OOC. They should improve on that significantly. Truly a virtuoso scheduling performance.

7-7 vs P5
15-4 vs GO5
7 -0 vs Baby Seals

Well, the B1G came through. All 12 of their favorites won, and both underdogs lost. Their record against the FBS is now 34-13 (41-13 OOC) putting them in a virtual tie with the B12 for 3rd place among the P5.

IU has squeaked in 4 close wins against bad teams and is now 4-0, lol. OSU visits next Saturday. OSU offense has been struggling.

This is the first time that Indiana has started 4-0 since 1990. In 1990, their 5th game was against Ohio State, and it ended in a tie.

They only won 2 games the rest of the season, finishing 6-5-1.

Well, it didn't matter. Minnesota's D and special teams got shredded by injuries. It still won the game, though. Offense found a way and defense did enough.

Nonetheless, it's a MAC school vs a B1G school. B1G teams are supposed to win every time and without much sweat.

BG itself has beaten two, now. Ohio certainly could've beat Minnesota. Off the top of my head I know the score between Kent St and Minnesota and Buffalo and Penn St were close.

It's be interesting to see the total compilation of how the MAC did against the B1G this year.

Gophers won on a TD scored with 37 seconds left in the game. Ohio got 345 yards of total offense including 18 first downs and 24 pts. Gophers had the only turnover.
So much for my shallow analysis.

Your analysis was still shallow. You were only correct on a very general statement that an Ohio win was a possibility. Kudos to you.
