He gets another year this year even if Texas goes 5-7...but they will expect a turn-around (i.e. 9-3 or better) in 2016 for sure.

However, the boosters/political situation in Austin may doom him (like RichRod was doomed in Ann Arbor). New AD comes in soon...gives Strong a tight leash...and then cuts him prematurely to bring in "his" guy with the new hire. Maybe a Dabo Swinney or Jimbo Fisher kind of hire?

I don't see Charlie Strong being ousted from his position at least for one more season.

It's Texas though so he might be out at the end of the year for doing what they brought him in to do. He had a lot of cleaning up to do. If he is out he will land on his feet somewhere next season.

He has a QB.

Charlie might need to recruit some questionable players like he did at Louisville to succeed. Texas probably won't allow that. Kinda like Texas would not even think of Hiring Petrino or Pitino.

Bingo. He needs Clint hurtt

At Louisville, Charlie Strong was at the right place at the right time. At Texas Charlie is the wrong guy at the wrong place at the wrong time. He many never get a big time head coaching job again. Of course he can probably be a defensive OC any where he wants to be. 07-coffee3
