no, unless perhaps the commonality is the gloves of the receivers perhaps
they also share a common receiver's coach I assume

1) Maybe try new gloves for the receivers?

2) Do the receivers drop this many passes in practice, as well?
Best idea I've read all day.

What about pine tar on their helmets? That way all Ely has to do is hit them in the head and maybe the ball will stick.

Seems like we do a poor job of developing receivers. The good ones usually are good when they come to UT but don't progress much.

RE: Quarterbacks
Dropped passes were a big part of the problem . But several of them were in tight coverage. Watch some of those drops. Their DBs were right there. On the other hand. My question is- Where were our DBs? We still do not cover as well as we should. There was one play in particular that two receivers lined up one behind the other. One of our DBs went towards the interior. So one man to cover two. Their qb did not se it. But immediately after the play one of the receivers pointed that out the Iowa's bench. Poor coverage, dropped passes.

there were some breakdowns in coverage obviously. But not too too many.
I was disappointed the d backs didn't look back for a few more passes because the QB for Iowa St put too much air under a couple passes and under-threw a couple that were ripe for picking off.
