RE: Sorry CUSA...
I am expecting MTSU to take their frustrations out on Charlotte next weekend, especially after 49ers lost their LT/best OL to an injury.
That Temple game is terrifying. Niners may not score. Running a platoon QB system against a defense that good is a recipe for disaster.

Charlotte is about to get a very rude awakening next week.
We get to finally see our team be tested. Granted the final score of the Ga. St. game was not indicative of how the game went and this week's win was against an FCS school. I didn't feel like we played our game in all 4 quarters in a game yet. PC gave Miami(OH) a good run up until the final quarter, but Miami(OH) got smoked by Wisconsin. Ga. St. picked up their 1st FBS win this week against NMSU, but NMSU got handled easily by Florida in week 1. I am interested in next week's game just to see where we measure, but I think we can clearly say that we are not the worst or even 2nd worst team in FBS.

Exactly why I asked our CUSA conference mates to take it easy on us.

The Conference that looked the best this week was ...the MAC with Toledo beating Arkansas in Little Rock, a huge win. Two P5 wins, plus EMU beat Wyoming, at Wyoming..

RE: Sorry CUSA...
The American and MAC seem to be the cream of the G5 crop right now... each had two P5 victories this week and both had wins over other G5 conference foes. If there is any CUSA solace in a down week is that the biggest loser was the MW who went 0-10 OOC.
Week 2
American [5-4 FBS (2-4 P5, 2-0 G5, 1-0 IND), 0-0 FCS = 5-4 OOC]
MAC [4-5 FBS (2-5 P5, 2-0 G5, 0-0 IND) 4-0 FCS = 8-5 OOC]
Sunbelt [1-4 FBS (0-4 P5, 1-0 G5, 0-0 IND) 4-0 FCS = 5-4 OOC]
CUSA [0-8 FBS (0-6 P5, 0-2 G5, 0-0 IND), 3-0 FCS = 3-8 OOC]
MWC [0-9 FBS (0-7 P5, 0-2 G5, 0-1 IND), 0-1 FCS = 0-10 OOC]

RE: Sorry CUSA...
Frustrating that Rice, FAU, and MTSU all had chances to make a statement and all three teams played games they could have won.
Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.
Rice, FAU, and MTSU had 14 turnovers; Texas, Miami and Alabama had 3. No team ever going to win games with those differentials.
For Rice specifically, we ran 96 plays, had over 44-minutes of the clock, had 19 more first downs and almost 200 yards of more offense but gave up two punt returns and two cheap TD's. Everything else we won the game. For first time in my lifetime, we dominated Texas up-front.
For casual fan, looks like a bad week but reality is that if you takeaway the turnovers, the conference is competitive. It was not getting pushed around like years past. It is improved. Teams are not cupcakes. Time to take next step with a big time win. We have one more shot w/ Baylor in two weeks. I know many others have their shots too before meat of C-USA schedule.

what no football games to watch?
No girl/guy to bang?
Nope you figured you'll make you're one post being grammar police at 1am...calling someone out for using your instead of you're. You're the kind of person someone smacks upside the head, in person, then tell them to go stand in the corner. Little turd

This.
FAU, FIU, and MT played very well considering their respective opponents. Rice actually could have won, but made mistakes. Only UTEP was completely blown out (and UTSA should have had at least one TD).
Bottom line:
We might have pulled upsets in a couple of games had everything fallen into place, but realistically only Marshall@Ohio was a shocker (to me anyway).
One game in one weak does not a season make.

So if you didn't write it, why are you making excuses for someone else? Is that your Caitlin? Next time, you should just mind your (see I used "your" correctly) own damn business instead of dipping your (see, I used "your" correctly again) pecker in someone's else Kool-Aid.

No maybe next time you should learn READING COMPREHENSIONS before trying to be a Barney Fife on a messageboard. If you are going to call someone out on the proper use of Your-You're at least try to be correct your self.
It's not like a person couldn't see QUOTED TEXT right in from of him...
Honestly at 1am on a Saturday night (well Sunday MORNING) you clicked on this forum and used your only comment to be a grammar police ...Barney Fife. With all the games played yesterday you chose to limit your comments to being...Barney Fife
WOW! you go there girl! (rolling eyes )

No, it doesn't, but to again play on the grammar police theme:
One week DOES make one weak.
