You're essentially admitting that the person whom you insisted must reply to 'what you said' and not 'what they think you said' were right. I understand you may not feel that way, but honestly, nothing you've said implies anything other than what he said, hyperbole aside.
The fact that things were 'wrong' in the past doesn't make it okay for them to be 'wrong' today. It certainly doesn't make things any better to err 'the other way' simply because they used to err differently.
Right is right and wrong is wrong. Of course our perception of right and wrong can morph and change over time, as it obviously has with regard to blacks and gays and women and animals and the earth and lots of other things... but the solution to treating one group of people unfairly should NEVER be to treat another group unfairly instead.
Fairness is not a finite resource where you must take from one in order to give to another.
Frankly, it seems to me that the BEST way to get people to change their minds about things is not to 'punish' them for doing so. If treating gays and blacks fair requires that I be treated unfairly, I'm a little less inclined to support that than if you are indifferent to me.

It was (and to my knowledge) continues to be used to categorize Obama supporters. So it seems that Tommy here is calling all of us anti-Obama folks, Obama supporters.

Nice try...while that is one rarely used definition (about his supporters, not the media), it's certainly not the commonly accepted one.
