This thread is a prime example of the soapbox at its absolute worst.

The president can't attend every funeral or make a speech for every person that is senselessly murdered. Sadly, there are so many senseless murders that it would be impossible. So you have to pick and choose. He went to Charlston when a bunch of blacks people were murdered. He went to Sandy Hook elementary when a bunch of white people were murdered.

I'm not tying to make light of the murders that happened yesterday (unlike the rest of the miserable vultures in this thread using it to attack Obama). It was a tragedy. Having said that, the only reason anybody is taking about this is that it happened on live TV and there are videos. If two postal workers were killed by a disgruntled psychopath, and he left behind a crazy racist manifesto, this wouldn't even be a blip on the radar. That's sad but it's true. So what is the standard you want to use to attack the president? Any time somebody is killed, he should hold a press conference and go to the funeral? Get real.

Very true. Plus Charleston and Sandy Hook were considered a mass killings. This does not meet that definition. Not that any lives lost are less important, but it is a distinction between the two.

But you're wrong on the timeline. The article I linked was posted at 1:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday...but it was updated with more stuff today.

The video from that local affiliate with the questions to Obama was shown on their local TV at 5:30 yesterday and that interview had to take place much earlier than that...it's got the time stamp right there on the video. You posted your statement at 5:59 yesterday.

Regardless, your statement was still incorrect. You just moved the goalpost to make it correct in your mind. A typical move of someone inflicted with ODS.
