Well, they did do this...
Well, they've won 8 games in the past 3 seasons combined. I think they probably were a bit excited starting the season 1-0 against a regional rival.
UCF was also receiving votes in the polls was a 14 point pick and beat us 38-0 last year. So yeah, a lot of hard work and exuberance boiled over there. But we don't look at UCF any different than Indiana, La Tech, WKU or Marshall on our schedule.
Well bring on the gatorade baths then.

No need...Indiana, La Tech, WKU, and Marshall won't suck as bad as the AAC flagship, UCF.

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe USF. Just because UCF might have a bad year this year doesn't mean FIA and FAU are equals. UCF has had some great seasons that both the F_U's have yet to accomplish.

Talent wise, I thought FIU has at least equal or more than UCF last night.

In defense of the OP's comments, I took it that he was referring to the current talent on the field.

The AAC has only had 3 out of 12 teams play.
How about we wait until each team has played a couple games before we make statements about who is better, not 1 or 2 games.
Good start for CUSA, though.
CUSA has caught a case of the "inferiority complex" bug.
So when they see anything to do with them being better than the AAC, they eat on it.. Even if its just one game.
Understandable. Nice win over a program that has been very solid the last two years.

No. Deep down he knows, but fact and reality get blurry in the Tweeny dimension. It becomes very difficult to separate fantasy from actual results.

1. CUSA is 5-1 vs the AAC. That is a fact.
2. Sounds like "sour" grapes from an AAC supporter. That too is a fact.

UCF is 15-1 in it's two seasons in the AAC against conference competition. There's no inferiority complex here....this conference is deep and getting deeper.
FIU went toe-to-toe with your two time defending champ and came out of the battle standing.

Yep. And we're quickly reaching the point of having to loosen up our collective belt a couple of notches.

Look at it this way aac fans. If you guys can beat psu or fau, you'll at least have one fbs win in week one.

RE: FIU proving why CUSA is greater than the AAC
Here's some craziness. Everyone talks about cellar dwellers so let's look at the worst performances in the recent past.
Number of Losing Seasons in the last 19 years:
AAC
Temple - 15
Memphis - 14
Tulane - 14
SMU - 13
Sun Belt
NMSU - 17
ULM - 15
Idaho - 15
Texas St - 12
CUSA
NT - 15
UTEP - 15
The rest of the teams in those three conferences have 11 losing seasons or less during that timeframe.
EDIT - To be fair, teams with the highest number of non-losing seasons:
AAC
Navy - 14
Cincy - 14
Sun Belt
App St - 18
Ga Southern - 16
CUSA
USM - 16
WKU - 16
