Here's a link to how the UT squads did at the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic. Team scores weren't kept.

RE: UT men's and women's cross country 2015
Below is a link to a story on the UT site about the MAC championship, set for Halloween.

FWIW (which isn't much) looks I'll be out of touch for at least a few days and won't be giving any of my "eagerly anticipated" updates. 03-rotfl

More seriously, up next for the cross country squads (after the conference championship) is the NCAA regional on November 13th.

RE: UT men's and women's cross country 2015
End of an era. Women finish 9th of 12. First finisher was 30th. Worst finish since Hadsell's first year in 1998 when they finished last. Claims of redshirting top two women would not have made any difference. Even if those two women finished 1st and 2nd (not remotely likely) they team would have still been 5th or so. Men finished dead last.

Go soccer vs WMU tomorrow!

We've seen the destruction of women's MAC championship programs in XC, swimming and soccer.

Each had a successful coach leave unexpectedly. I think soccer and x-country may rebuild quickly. Not sure about swimming.

Swimming is too far gone, I think. Soccer was bad the last two years before Evans left so they are actually on an upswing already. But cross country coach has been gone for three years and when he left they were a Top15 program with all freshmen and sophomores. There wasn't anything to rebuild. Track was indoor and outdoor runner-up also but they are bottom too under new guy.

I don't know what's happening with swimming. They don't seem to be showing any signs of improvement.

Yes, agreed. Soccer looks promising. Women's cross-country looks like a very bad hire. This guy took a program loaded with talent, and we sank to the bottom just about as fast as could be imagined.

If we don't ruin her right away Jerman is probably number one or two next year. Great get for the Rockets.

RE: UT men's and women's cross country 2015
OK, forget my previous post. In my post-CMU euphoria/ dread I thought these were all stories on the same woman. Looks like decent times overall. We had very few runners breaking 18 last year, IIRC. Xcountry times are tough to use for comparison though due to varying degrees of difficulty and casual measuring of distance, although I suspect that's much easier and more accurate these days than in the misty dregs of time.

Especially since UT doesn't offer zoology.

There doesn't seem to be a story about this on the UT site as of early Thursday morning, but the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals (for the men and the women) are tomorrow, Friday the 13th. Hosted by Wisconsin.
