And may I introduce you to Florida Jag, who throws out strange and unlikely expansion scenarios like they are candy.

And they all include either DIII or nonexistent Florida schools, like UWF and FGCU.

And Texas Arlington Football, because he likes to throw the West a Bone.

The reality is, FJ wants to be able to see 8 South Alabama games a year with the farthest trip for him being Mobile.

Congrats to all the Coastal fans. Must be nice to see the fruits of aggressive and well thought out leadership. We here at JMU have neither.

As I was looking over aerials of Brooks Stadium, can you get to 21-25k seats at your current location? Looks like the 2 roads, the football facility and the press box limit the options on expanding. Any ideas on the plans?

Also, how important do you think the role of uber wealthy Joe Moglia was in making this a reality for you guys? Seems to me that his hire, beyond wins & losses, was a grand slam.

Enjoy your day. Sun Belt has made some good choices in young, hungry and growing programs with big upsides.

I don't think Moglia had any direct impact other than making the football team much better.

I think we can expand to 20,000 plus easy. It was designed for 20k plus the side road can be shifted for another 3-5k. Plus we could go up and build a deck if necessary.

I'm pretty sure that was the previous coach.

It's pretty crazy how JMU appears posed to make the move but balked at the chance. CCU wasn't even mentioned and in the 2-3 months they became a candidate they jumped through hoops to show how they could make it happen and plans to get there. Plus they were vocal in their support of the conference. Night and day difference between how the schools handled it even though on the surface JMU is a no brainier.

This is great, but the poor Mavericks need an icon:

It was Hanna-Barbera, not Warner Brothers, but how about:

Or,

Or this one from a WB episode:

I think that if I were a JMU fan, this would be kind of a lousy day (unless they still just figure we'll be ready when they are).

Welcome to the Belt CCU. Nice announcement today. Your prez and KB did a good job. Great to see fans and school excited for the SBC. We, as a conference, are definitely on the rise and am glad you will be going along with us.

Welcome.

Oh good grief! We're playing sports, not signing up an IQ Bowl member. You can stop with the back handed put downs.
