Don't forget "and to choose our team at the expense of the other believers asking for the exact same thing."

I've never heard any kind of plea to "Win this game for us" or anything of the sort.

That we compete in a fair and acceptable way, abiding the rules and officials. And that the competitors on either side have a safe game, avoid injury and make it through to participate once again.

That was about it, far as I can recall. No one ever prayed to make a game winning catch or beat the snot-bubbles out of the other side.

Don't recall those prayers. lol

I saw a story where they had sued a school district in Mississippi and some Obama appointed liberal judge told a high school that their band could no longer play "How Great Thou Art" in their halftime show. What the liberal judge and FFR morons couldn't stop was the entire crowd at the game from singing it --- which they did.

Love people just sticking it right in a liberals face when there's nothing they can do about it.

I saw that story....I gave 'em a golf clap....

I'm an atheist and don't get it either.....

dayum people gotta be people.....

so, yeah, I actually do get it....both sides.....

fk'n people.....
Yeah, same here. Most religious things don't bother me at all. Basically the only issues I take issue with for religious people are:
  • Trying to have creationism taught in science classes as an equal to science / trying to shut down evolution courses
  • preventing gay marriage (although I support the right to refuse service for non-public officials)
  • trying to end abortion entirely (although I can get behind banning it after the first trimester)

Everything else, I couldn't really care less about. Someone else praying doesn't infringe on your rights IMO.

At the same time though, I have little sympathy for people that push religion in government, then get butt hurt about other religions wanting to be represented too. It just opens the door to groups like the satanist group wanting to put up a satan statue. There are too many people on each side of the religious debate doing things simply to spite the people they disagree with.
