You have never been to Boston have you? If you don't root for their teams, you are a nobody in their eyes. It's quite surreal and off putting. It's treated as a character flaw.

I went up in March! Toured Fenway & didn't have much trouble. My Yankee fan friend decided not to reveal his fandom though.

It's really not like that. We are certainly passionate about our teams, but we dont hate on people for being fans of other teams. In fact, we enjoy thoughtful spirited discussions with opposing fans. What we do not appreciate are fair-weather, or fans who lack knowledge and appreciation. We apprecaite the passion, no matter what team it's assigned to. Trust me on this.

Like if you come into Fenway in a Twins jersey but don't know who plays first base for your own team, or text and take selfies on your phone all game, we hate you. But not just for being a Twins fan.

Just want to take this opportunity to point out that (nearly uniformly) Boston sports fans are 100% certain that they are the only real sports fans on earth.

it's easy to be a REAL sports fan when you have all four major pro sports win titles in a seven year period. it has been euphoria for the last 15 years for boston sports.

real fans are those that are following the houston astros the last decade, or elon football. those are the real fans.

Ugh...you mean my Houston Lastros. FIFY

Altho, seeing the Lastros "moved" to the American has given me an out to drop allegiances. Liking the Washington Senators a lot these days.

A lot to like here. There's some things to polish but he has an entire senior season of high school ball before he even gets here to work on things. Not a burner but definitely a dual threat and should fit into the JMU offense well. Looks like he throws a great deep ball.

I watched that hudl video the other night but for some reason it's running really slow for me now so you may need to give it some time to load.

RE: Dj Daniels
That's some pretty good stuff. Of course it's a highlight reel, but still. He's got good speed, not great, (reminds me of Cam in that, but yes, he's not 6'4" 260), touch on a deep ball which we've lacked in somewhat recent years, and can hit a timing/crossing pattern on the numbers. As a HS JR., so 15-16 yo's. Nothing wrong with any of that.

I'd also add- couple of those receivers were playing the D for fools too. Where are they headed? Nothing like friends and familiar faces in the locker room.

Good looking young man.

Nice to see this...

Quote:Although there is a while until signing day, don’t expect the Fike standout to change his mind.

”I’m 100 percent committed to James Madison and done with the recruiting process,” Daniels said. “I’m excited about my future there.”

I was thinking the same about the receivers in that film. It seems to me that we're already above our quota of receivers but those kids can play for sure.

I felt his passes lacked velocity. If he had it, he would not be on the JMU radar. Has good command of the spread offense. He is not Vad but who knows what will grow into.

You do realize you're looking at video of a kid that's maybe 16 years old? So, yes, a lot of growth potential

I actually thought his passes looked pretty crisp and like LH said, he's got a full season and summer before he even gets to JMU. I know a lot of teams run spread offenses these days but JMU's system (assuming it's similar to last year with a new OC) is really attractive at the QB position so I'm not surprised that we're able to attract high caliber recruits there.

RE: Dj Daniels
His games this year will be worth watching this Fall.
Withers has to solve the QB dilemma for next year. I suspect the Dukes will be looking for another 1-A transfer even if they land another HS prospect at QB. Nobody wants to see a true freshman taking meaningful snaps.
I haven't seen enough in Schor to think he would be anything more than a placeholder and this year's newbies are under the radar projects.
