Current Teams Only All SBC QB
List in Alpha order. I wasn't given a lot of stats so am only listing what I gleaned from the thread or could add myself. Decided to limit to 10 and rep as many schools as I could.

Baylor -
Brister -
Browning - 51g, 81 TDs, (63 pass, 14 rush) 11,768 offensive yds (10,263 pass) - 230.75 ypg
Edwards - 51g, 139 TDs (74 pass, 64 rush) 14,753 offensive yds (10,392 pass) - 289.27 ypg
George - 44g, 79 TDs (76 pass, 3 rush) 9786 offensive yds (9556 pass) - 222.4 ypg
Ham - 57g, 44 TDs () 10,840 offensive yds (6852 pass) - 190.14 ypg
Humphries
Nealy - 39g, 70 TDs (52 pass, 18 rush) 8933 offensive yds (7206 pass) - 229.05 ypg

As great as Edwards was he played mainly IAA teams (so did Humphries, Hamm, Brister, and probably some others on your list I don't recognize). In the modern era of FBS play vs tougher competition (more P5 teams) you have Aplin, Browning and Robinson. Then you have to look at wins and losses. Robinson was the most prolific passer but his teams did poorly (not his fault...porous defenses), Browning had a marquis win over Arkansas and one bowl game and Aplin had the best record with two bowls and 20 wins his last two years. It's hard to say who was the best..

Just noticed that you've also got B. George on the list . . . He was a fun watch, and a pretty interesting story, as he came to the Bobcats in a very non-traditional way . .
From a stat standpoint, I'd go with George . . . But give Nealy a lot of credit for the great 2005 run . .. .

RE: Current Teams Only All SBC QB
I'm 38 years old. Anyone about my age who has watched college football discerningly for the amount of time we've been capable of, who chooses someone besides Armanti Edwards, is denying what they feel in their hearts. I clearly have no dog in this fight (however much I hate that phrase), but I haven't seen any stats that overcome that eye test. And I'm pretty sure I could pull up a 1990 Pro Set Stan Humphries rookie card from the tucked-away collection, which has a great deal of meaning to me. Not swayed. Edwards it is.

Mike Baylor from 1965 to 68 - 322 of 768 for 4,441 yards and 31 TD's with 36 INT's. Also tops on the all-time yardage with 4,685 yards and all-time plays with 1,014.

So Armanti was a necrophiliac as well as unable to mow his own yard?

He has to be good to have thrown that many TDs to dead people

Is it me or does it seem the G5 vets get offended when talk of how good an FCS(1AA) player or team was/is. There are many exceptions to the rule can we all agree on that. Do I think some of our past teams would win the current SB, yes. That's just the opinion of one fan and not the entire fanbase.
That being said, AE was the truth hats off to him.

I don't it's being offended by putting certain things in perspective. Let all the guys play an entire FCS schedule and Id wager quite a bit of many you would see some of that production go up.

So are you saying that these guys wouldnt have been as good behind the other D1 teams offenses? Most the teams, especially back in the 80's and 90's, that GS and App played were right on par with the Sunbelt or Conf USA teams then. Middle Tenn, Marshall, Cent Fla, ect were all good teams back then and I would argue that even some of those I listed were better then than they were their first few seasons in FBS. Our 89 championship team at GS would have competed with many FBS teams, and beatn many of the Sunblet type teams. Apps Championship team that beat Michigan would have beat many smaller FBS teams. My point is thats not a good comparison or way to look at the success of those players. Tracy Ham was MVP a couple times in the Canadian Football league and led his team to a couple of Grey Cups (their equivalent of the NFL's Superbowl). So the fact that he performed at that level in the pros shows me it didnt matter where he played in college, he would have been good anywhere, as Armanti Edwards would have.
