RE: basketball rumor
This is the type of series I have been begging for for years. It does both of us good to play this series.

Speaking of Memphis, they are losing scholarship basketball players left and right.

I like Memphis and really would like to see them on the schedule. That said, I haven't really kept up with them much since they've been in the AAC. The following link sums up the general idea of why he's in the cross-hairs, though.

I don't ever want to see Memphis on a UAB Basketball schedule again during my lifetime.

That's foolish. Memphis is still a good game, and it draws. Haase wants fans in the seats, drawing good teams helps that. Even if it's two or three games a year, it picks up interest, and makes season tickets a more viable option.

RE: basketball rumor
UAB has a tough time getting quality opponents, especially ay home. But as hard as it is to schedule this year, next year will be doubly difficult. That's why we need multi-game series scheduled...

Look foolish guy, I didn't say UAB shouldn't play Memphis. I just wouldn't shed a tear if they never met again.

You said you don't ever want to see them scheduled again, not that you wouldn't shed a tear. A Memphis series is good for UAB, and we have a coach who isn't afraid of anybody now.

I don't want to ever see Memphis on the schedule again. And I wouldn't shed a tear if UAB never played Memphis again. That's my preference. I also don't believe it is a good series for UAB and nor do I believe UAB has ever had a basketball coach that was afraid to play anybody.
How old are you?

Their 2013 class was a top 5 class I think. Everyone but one has transferred. There is a full scale panic in this city right now and Josh Pastner is a dead man walking.
Their best player Austin Nichols just got his release to transfer. To make it worst, he is a local kid. He will probably be at a blue chip school like Kentucky, UNC, Duke or Kansas after he transfers.
Speaking of which, apparently Memphis will be in the Emerald City Classic in 2016. The field has not been announced yet, but the participants of next years tournament, net when Nichols is eligible to play were excluded as teams he can transfer to. Iowa, Virginia and Providence, I think.

I'm 7 and a half. And mike Davis was scared shitless of Memphis. You may not believe that, but his record indicates otherwise. Teams like SMU and Tulane beat Memphis when he couldn't.
And how can you say that isn't a good series for us. In what world is that not a good series?
