Dude, just stop.
People are talking about ISIS. That isn't a positive for ISIS.
When folks turn the channel and see this uniform on their screen are they going to say "That's Louisville" or is the average TV viewer going to say " Who the **** is that?"
Orange and purple isn't the best color combination in the world....but when people see the paw they say " Hey! That's Clemson."
Louisville has been relevant long enough to have a brand. People know the bird with teeth. Friggin' embrace it.
This is Syracuse taking a colossal dump on blue jerseys/orange pants and minimizing orange.
So you're comparing a marketing tactic to Isis? You stop!
Louisville wearing a special uniform for one game is becoming a tradition. Petrino introduced the black uniforms during his first tenure & they wore the gray camouflage last season vs FSU, I like these a lot better. They have always made changes to their basic uniforms from season to season as well. And it's not like Oregon or Maryland who change uniforms every game.
I prefer the traditional uniforms as well, the black however are my favorite, but if the players want it for one game I'm fine with it. I know the players were excited when Petrino told them that he was bringing the black ones back. They begged Charley to let them wear them but he always refused.
