Wonder where Coach Clark is today or if he has gotten any indication yet. Things pointing to football returning. Will be a lot of work for Clark to do, but he's shown he has more than enough ability to get the job done.

If I were a prospect, Id want to see Clark with an approved 5 year contract before I commit.

No guarantee he's back. Even if he wants to be, Watts would have to hire him.

All of Alan Collins' info could be correct, but Watts will also announce Finis St John will be the head coach

He is still employed by UAB. There is no need to rehire him

My understanding is that his contract was bought out, so he is currently not working for UAB, officially.

Speaking of which, we've paid Clark the maximum amount he could have earned for 2014, 2015, and 2016. When he gets his new contract, will we try to haggle the dollar amount down based on what we've paid him already? I realize they technically have nothing to do with each other.

Pretty sure this is correct. He's not listed as an employee in the directory.

Not a chance.

We've raised $30 million in a month or two.

It will be nothing to raise the money to get Clark the contract to coach, even if it does become an issue.

They haven't actually paid it all out to Clark yet, they're paying him in monthly payments. It would not be a stretch for him to eat the extra money that he's earned over the past 6 months to catch back up to what the contract should be.

Hoping for good news today. Cannot imagine how frustrating this whole affair must have been for Blazer fans. You guys deserve a lot of credit for fighting back. Wishing for the best.

The fact is that at 1:00 on June 1st we are still "reading tea leaves" for some clues as to the ultimate outcome. We all hope for the best while fearing the worst. We have been conditioned to expect the latter by the past deceit practiced by our leadership.

Since the announcement is set for 4:00, local Ch 13 and 33/40 have local news shows on at that time and Ch 42 has said they will cover it live (pre-empting Dr Phil). There should be no local shortage of coverage.

Yeah too many trusted outlets have reported this. None of them are going to ruin their reputation on a misleading report on UAB football.

AP says they spoke with Watts on the phone and he confirmed it's coming back.
