I feel positive about the announcement knowing Ingram will be present, it shows he may turn comments over to Ingram to sat the course for restarting the teams. When the camera's come on look to who else is present to get a feel for the decision.
If stakeholders like the Football head coach, Mayor, community leaders, Jack Williams, big money Boosters,etc. are present we have a team again.

I think a press conference is a good thing. What purpose would it serve for him to have another press conference and look like an idiot again. If it wasn't coming back, just send out the email and be done. Also, having it at 4 and giving people 5 hours to get there makes me hopeful. Why not just announce its in 30 minutes of it is bad news? I've gotten burned in the past by these *******, but it would be another pr nightmare to hold a press conference and say it's still a no go.

He can not use that as an excuse publicly in a press conference. They can leak that out and have it be the whisper reason, but he cannot openly say that the Board was involved in this decision at all.

I have to interpret the fact that the the pumpkin headed coward is going to actually going to give the thumbs up or down in person has to be considered a good sign. Surely if it was bad news it would have been delivered by email at 11:59 tonight after Watts had already left the city.

However, if he thinks that if he provides good news all will be forgiven, he even dumber than I thought. I can't imagine him answering questions such as, "Why where you stupid enough to cut it in first place?" or "How much did original stupid mistake cost the university?". Also expect him to affect his escape via the helicopter pad on the nearby hospital.

Oh, I expect that there will be two or three people out front...

Really hard to tell based on what's out there right now. I'm sure it will leak ahead of time, and it depends on who gets invited. If the Mayor or obviously anyone associated with the football program or foundation are there then we'll know.

If we find out that Wes Smith is involved in the press conference....well, we still won't know anything.

I want to see Ingram answer any and all questions despite what the decision is. I don't care that he had nothing to do with the original decision. It's his F'ing job and I'm tired of UAB employees not having to do what they're cashing checks to do. He needs to walk his butt up there and say all 3 are back and he is going to work tirelessly to make sure all are competitive nationally. I don't want to hear from or see Watt's face for a long time. It's time for our athletic department to stand alone and nurture what will be an amazing future for UAB sports.

Lighten up on Ingram just a bit. He's barely been on the job. i know nothing about the man, but he sure hasn't done anything to hurt UAB to this point.

You're right. I'm obviously frustrated. It drives me crazy that our president is driving this boat. I'm over him.
