Good ole Penny Brain $1M Arm.
I always thought he was better than what people gave him credit for.

Been to several college and pro games and sat close up, no one threw the ball with as much zip on it then George. Absolute rocket for an arm.
He played behind some of the worst NFL OLs in the past 30 years...he wasn't super special up top, but he was way better than the rub he gets.

That year he started with the Vikings talent was spectacular. He's one who looked really elite when the supporting cast is there and very pedestrian when the supporting cast is bad.

For the level guy were able to recruit I prefer 5'10" to 6'2". Guys who are 6'2" with the lateral quickness needed to play corner go to top 10 programs. Same theory with 7 footers in basketball, the skilled ones all end up at Duke, Kentucky, etc.

The D has to be able to win it of you when that happens, but I'm not optimistic that ours can. No DTs = can't stop the run & can't pressure the QB = LBs move up to help = more pressure on safeties = giving up the deep ball. If you can't control the center of the line, you can't control anything. Teams are going to torch us for big points.
If Kiel stays healthy and dominates I can see 10 wins. If not, we will have several bad losses.
The defense will surprise this year because unlike last year, for the first 5 games anyway, they have a plan and the personnel to execute it. The talent is there, particularly in the secondary, its just a matter of getting them up to speed. That could take all year, or it could take a game or two. It also helps that UC has a top 15 or 20 offense and rock solid special teams. That gives the D a large margin for error.
