Yep, I wasn't very impressed with Auburn. Our mistakes killed us, giving up 6 unearned runs. I think the Cajuns can take this Super Regional.

I didn't realize it until this weekend, but Auburn has never been to the WCWS. Let's keep it that way. I want to make it there before they do.

Plus it would be nice pub for the conference to beat the SEC tournament champs at their place. As noted above, I also wasn't that impressed with Auburn. If we'd brought our A-day game, eliminated the mistakes, and had some of the breaks that went against us then things might have turned out different. Cajuns are at least as good as the Tigers IMO.

That would be priceless. I would pay anything to watch Elkins crush a walkoff grand slam and put the Tigers in their place. I would even settle for Hamilton striking out Haley Fagen to close out a perfect game/no hitter.

I don't like Alabama softball either.

Not crazy about Auburn either as they are basically a newcomer who is throwing money at the program to become relevant. Hence, the Myers hiring.

Hard for me to hate on Alabama though. Lots of respect and history between our programs. Murphy coached here as an assistant, and Alyson is one of the greatest female athletes to wear a Cajun's uniform.

Exactly the conversation I had with a coworker recently. He is an Alabama football fan, but likes USA baseball (and now softball) and will pull for USA in football and other sports. He told me that he likes USA softball because they built the program from the ground up while Auburn just bought their program.

The Cajuns are the only team in the Super Regionals from a non P5 Conference

Alot of P5 teams have only been in existence for 15yrs or less while Cajun softball has been around for 35yrs
