Big Bad Wolf, Annoconda, Loc Ness have been faves of mine but I have always had a soft spot for Space Mountain... the whole in the dark thing really sold it for me.

IIRC the Volcano is there, also a very good one. I think I've ridden the Anaconda (now that you mention it) but I don't remember the Big Bad Wolf.
Dips through some houses the comes out over the water and then goes back into some houses... BBW is pretty cool...
Umm KD has Hanna Barberra stuff...like Scooby Doo and what not...
KD was sold by Paramount years ago to Cedar Parks. Don't think they have the Nickelodeon zone or any of that any more.
As for Big Bad Wolf, the ride stalled while I was riding it back in high school. I was in the portion of the coaster that got stuck hanging over the water. It was awful.
But we got passes to skip lines the rest of the day and free passes for another day. So it was worth it. However, if that happened now, I don't think I would be as non-chalant about the whole thing.

I know this is an old thread but Kings Dominion hasn't had Hanna Barbera (Scooby-Doo, Flintsones, etc) stuff in over two decades, that stuff went away when Paramount bought the park in the mid-Ninties, before the Volcano was even built - great coaster by the way. Taft Broadcasting (the original owner/builder of Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Carowinds) owned the Hanna Barbera cartoons. Paramount had a Nickelodeon tie-in, and since CedarFair bought them 5-8 yrs ago it has been Snoopy/Peanuts. The Anaconda is a ricketty mess. Dominator is my favorite at KD, followed by Volcano.
Also, Big Bad Wolf was great but has been closed at least five years because it broke down all the time and since no one built that kind of coaster anymore, parts were hard to come by. Verbolten was built in its place and is good fun but not as much as BBW.
I know it's nowhere near the biggest, fastest, or scariest, but I've always loved Big Thunder Mountain at Disney.
As a kid growing up in Ohio annual summer visits to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie was a way of life. I always enjoyed the Gemini that may not be the tallest or fastest but the fact that it was a dual track wooden coaster gave it a unique racing feel. Wooden coasters also have that rugged, beat the hell out of you ride that I found exciting. Plus, there's nothing like the "click-clack" of the heavy chain pulling the cars up the first hill.

Isn't the Gemini a tubular steel track surrounded by a wooden frame and supports? Very unique design for a coaster. The Beast at Kings Island is my favorite in Ohio.
