Tell that to the sensitive fairies that ***** to the mods. I've literally never complained to a mod here.

The "forum ban" feature is an ugly hack created by Tikitiki an entire major release ago of the board software. It has been band-aided along for some time now, and does not play nicely with all other aspects and means of access of the site. Rather than continue to limp the monstrosity along, I have more substantial long term plans in the works to deal with the issue.

Big words there ODU. But first make sure that your fellow ODU brethren MODS have thick enough skin and not extend warnings on simple jokes like ODUh.

Spin room has nothing to do with ODU, and I have nothing to do with forum moderation.

I like you man but you've got to read the context of what was actually said.

(05-04-2015 03:45 PM)georgia_tech_swagger Wrote:  50% better
29% no difference

And that's despite the inherent disadvantage change has just because it is change. Put differently ... of those that have changed their opinion ... they prefer the new setup by more than 2 to 1.

You have a strange definition of "only just".

If your opinion didn't change then obviously you're in the no difference category. Now it's at .... 25:15 so not 2:1 at this point but close. At the time GTS typed that he was correct, like it or not.

RE: The Spin Room Gallup Poll
I'm going by what gts said he was polling for.

Before polling and the actual context, not the post results change:
"I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement. Let's find out: http://csnbbs.com/thread-736521.html"

The poll doesn't bare that out. No net improvement. The majority, or an even 50/50 at the time, see no change or a worsening. To make it fit what the poll does show, he came up with the bs:

"of those that have changed their opinion" and the 2 to 1. That's an after the vote change. And intellectually dishonest.

I'm sorry but it is what it is... bs.

The poll wasn't set up as "of those that have changed their opinion".

He polled for net improvement. Majority says no.

I would like to know why firmbizzle thinks it's considerably worse now?

Reading that list up there makes for some strange bedfellows. If we could just go to the one of the original ideas that GTS himself came up with. We have camps and we can vote off the island the extremists. The libertarians would become the most favored nation status because they would be the swing votes. They are a little bit country and a little bit of rock and roll like Donny and Marie. After Torch has left us we need one more to voluntarily go off to the WWE and this place would be Dyn O Mite! Like JJ used to say........

I personally don't notice much difference. I think having separate boards is pointless. It's an Internet message board. If someone anonymously calling you an idiot or moron bothers you, then you have bigger problems.

Not what the poll asked. But you're a good little brown shirt. You'll wallow around in whatever pile of sht you're told and get the stink all over yourself.

Can't change the question after the fact.

Equating someone to Hitler does not help your cause. It's a good indicator that you're running out of ammo to continue this debate.

Obviously you don't.

I'll us it when appropriate. Evoking Godwin's law has grown old. Just another tool to try and silence others. Doesn't work on me.

I'm going to stick with what gts's original polling was for sunshine. Not his change to fit how the polling was going. Not his spin that would get Marie Harfs head swimming. Thanks for playing though.

Dunno how y'all can run Paul down for stating the truth when the very man that created this poll said this:

Quote:I suspect the majority of posters consider the new Spin Room a net improvement. Let's find out: http://csnbbs.com/thread-736521.html

By my math the number of people who see an improvement are trailing by 10 at this point.

Seems Paul is right, and some of you owe Paul an apology.

It also seems the poll author needs to admit his feeling was wrong on the topic.

BTW...I don't expect either an apology from those who were bashing Paul or an admission from GTS that he was wrong on his feeling where this poll would go. Neither group has ever had the ability to admit when they were wrong.
